Chapter 21 - Suspicion

ANGELICA was in a panic when she heard the news. Since she couldn't contact her friend, she called Harrison instead, who was at a shooting range. It rang a couple of times, non-stop. Despite not wanting to receive the call, he ended up answering it for the sake of her stopping. "WHAT?" he asked in a loud tone, trying to hear her from the bullets flying in the air.

"I can't contact Dianne! Is she okay?" she asked in a whisper and he sighed.

"Does she ever answer the phone when you call?" he asked and Angelica thought about it for a few seconds before uttering, "No, not really?"

"Exactly," he uttered, knowing Dianne is too lazy to answer phone calls or just choose to ignore them. He was about to end the call but Angelica desperately said wait. "Don't end the call yet!" she exclaimed and he rolled his eyes.

"What now?" he irritatedly asked before looking at the targets he was shooting.

"Mind joining me for lunch later?" she asked while cutely fluttering her eyes despite him not
