DIANNE has been in recovery for a month and now, she can finally do normal things without needing any help. While being in the hospital for a few weeks, she wondered why Silvester never visited her. She found it strange and tried contacting him but he never bothered answering her calls or messages. "Are you sure you didn't scare him off?" she questioned Kronos who was making himself comfortable in her home. Dianne arrived at her house a month after being in the hospital and Kronos was there to help. "Why would I?" he asked innocently before opening the television. "You keep claiming me despite not being yours," she complained but he scoffed before opening a bag of chips. "You are mine. How dare you play us brothers?" he questioned with a pouty face which only made her annoyed. "What?!" She can't believe he thinks she's toying with the two of them. She scoffed before throwing her bag to his head. He groaned before taking the bag and putting it down. She sighed before going into th
One bullet went off and screamings of the people around were heard. Kronos and Harrison immediately covered their leader before pulling her down. Was the bullet for her? "Dianne," Kronos called before grabbing her and looking around her body. No scratch. She pushed him away before standing up. Harrison, on the other hand, looked at the rooftops and spotted the sniper sitting down while holding the gun pointed at the sky, seemingly avoiding pointing the gun elsewhere. He didn't waste any time and started running to corner the sniper. Kronos looked around and saw the bullet next to them that penetrated the ground. A few more inches closer and it would've hit one of the three of them. "Call in a meeting," she uttered before walking to his car. HARRISON was running through what seemed like millions of stairs before he came face to face with the shooter. The man wears all black and covers himself with a mask and cap. The two stood parallel to one another as they both breathed heavily.
"She killed my wife!" he screamed in anger and agony, hoping his brother would understand his frustration. Kronos shook his head while the three of them stayed in their positions. Dianne was locked on the ground while Silvester was on top of her and Kronos was three feet away with his gun drawn. "She didn't," he tried explaining. "She did!" he screamed. "Your wife was the evil one. You might love her but she did far worse things than what I did to her. And she's gunning for more," Dianne said with a fierce face. "What can she do that made you kill her?!" He has a million questions in his mind but this was the one he wanted answered the most. Dianne stayed silent for a few moments before he pressed her neck with the knife to make her talk. "Your wife betrayed the syndicate and was the woman who took the life of MY parents! She not only betrayed me but deceived me while I was recovering from trauma. She deserved what happened to her and I'll kill her again with no hesitation,"
Once the three of them arrived, Dianne got out of the car first before passing by the reporters and police. The reporters tried interviewing her while the latter tried stopping her but they were unsuccessful. She looked around before she saw the employees gathered around for investigation. "Where's my assistant?" she asked while running up to them. They all turned to her before bowing their heads. "Where's Angelica?!" she screamed but they couldn't answer. "She said to leave her behind because of paperwork she needed to save." That idiot, she's going to get herself killed. They heard a loud explosion in the building and it was one of the rooms set on fire. Enforcement is sent inside to locate the bomb while firefighters deal with the fire on the 5th floor. "Dianne, you need to calm down," Kronos told her after trying to find her. Harrison clicked a button on his phone before calling someone. "Send an expert to deactivate the bomb and men to search the building of any employe
Dianne pushed him away and they caught their breaths. She wiped her lips off while looking at him with widened eyes. They were both shocked by what had happened but a glimpse of amusement was seen in Kronos' eyes. His blood felt like it was boiling from feeling flustered while it rushed to his cheeks. She was against the car door while Kronos was on the other side. The two are far from one another but she feels like she's suffocated. She tried grabbing for anything behind her but she accidentally pulled a handle. She breathed heavily before the car door on her side opened. "Fuc–" She fell back but Kronos held her arm. She was hanging by the car door while he held her arm. "Careful." His voice shivered down her spine but not in a bad way. It was hot, she's never thought of him that way before. She cleared her throat before letting him pull her inside. She fixed her hair before sitting down properly. It felt awkward, way too awkward. "Enjoyed the kiss, I see?" he asked with a chuckle
DIANNE couldn't stop thinking about Silvester while she tried her best to sleep the night through. Kronos might've kissed her and mixed her feelings but she still cannot stop thinking of well, his brother. She sighed heavily as she watched the ceiling. Having enough of staring into nothing, she left the room and went ahead to the entertainment room. She found the room empty so she sat down on the couch and opened the television. The room is filled with different types of things to entertain. Billiards, table tennis, chess, and more. Why? It is to ease someone's thoughts, especially after doing deadly missions that could've gotten them killed, and missions that they need to kill. With that in mind, that's why the syndicate has a therapist whom they can visit anytime. She looked around and grabbed snacks and a blanket to comfort her while watching a movie before closing the lights. This way, she wouldn't have much thought in mind. Only the television she's watching is what she shou
Gunshots echoed outside the room and a man whispered something they couldn't hear to Chloe. She madly looked at Dianne before storming out of the room. The room was filling up faster but not that fast, it'll probably let them escape within an hour if they can find a way. Dianne looked around the room before smirking and pulling out her gun. At every corner of the room, there's a camera. Of course, she wouldn't waste bullets so she used the back of the gun to smash all of them. Idiotic men didn't even bother taking her weapons. She went to every corner and when she had smashed all the eyes on them, she looked at Silvester who's a hopeless statue. She sighed before approaching him. "Are you just going to let yourself drown?" she asked and he didn't utter a word. This is useless, she's not going to be able to make him help. His whole mission to seek revenge on the person that killed his wife is now… pointless. Dianne backed away to one side before pointing her gun at the glass wall.
They were both frozen for a moment while staring at Dianne's cold and wet body. Everything around them seemed to turn dark, they were too stunned to see her lifeless body. They breathed heavily as they heard gunshots and explosions around them but they couldn't move an inch. "Time of death…" Kronos, who was a doctor, looked at his watch before looking back at Dianne. "Six forty-nine in the morning." He uttered before lowering his head. Silvester shook his head profusely before running towards them and pushing his brother away. He started giving her chest compressions before giving her two rescue breaths. He continued this before his brother stopped him. "It's no use," Kronos uttered but he couldn't accept it and continued giving her compressions. He tried and tried as the realization of her death crept into him. Tears formed in his eyes before stopping and taking deep breaths while looking at her. Her red-dyed hair is the most colorful part of her body as everything else turned pal
