Chapter 14 Steven approached Anthony’s villa and stayed hidden in the trees surrounding it while he shifted back to his human form. He used the darkness to hide himself until he reached a point right behind the guard positioned at the main gate. Steven slipped closer to the guard and raised his hands to snap the man’s neck when the wind shifted, blowing his scent in the wolf’s direction. The man suddenly spun around and lifted the automatic weapon in his right hand. Steven side-stepped the weapon and knocked it from the wolf’s grip. The wolf growled and delivered an uppercut to Steven’s chin making him stagger back a step. Steven returned the growl and grabbed the wolf by his head. Chapter 15 Anthony carried Jewel into his master bedroom and stood her gently on her feet beside the huge bed before turning back to the door and barring it so there wouldn’t be any more interruptions. Chapter 16 Alicia and Damon had made it inside the house and found the stairs leading into the basement. They’d heard the gunfight erupt outside but paid it no mind… Alicia knew her family could handle things from that end. “Hey you,” a voice shouted. “Damn!” Damon exclaimed and started to pull Alicia down the stairs with him.
