"Must we stay outside to welcome them?" Inara asked. "Can't we just stay indoors?"
"We could, but there is no point. Each time my husband is back from travel, I have to welcome him out here. He prefers it that way."
"Oh my God, that's my mum and dad for you."
"I know."
"Well, we can just pretend not to know that they are back," Inara suggested.
"You're right." Zee agreed. "Let's go back inside."
They held hands and headed towards the entrance of the house. They had barely taken more than five steps when Zee's phone started ringing with Michael's ringtone.
She paused with a sigh, making Inara pause alongside her.

As Inara whipped past her, a wave of regret hit Zee over trying to blame her. She hadn't meant to. She had been driven by fear, knowing that Michael would punish her, but might be lenient if he believed that the whole thing wasn't her idea. The next day, Zee and Inara managed to settle their differences as Inara finally forgave Zee. Michael had convinced Lemuel to stay, and so they all hung out on the evening of the following day after their punishments. Zee paced around the bedroom, thinking of what to do. She hurried downstairs to the security room to consult Skull, but she was told that he was out on a mission. Zee returned upstairs and went to the cell door. She didn't trust Cassy to be cool and just say she and Zee had patched things up hence her visit. God! This was bad. Her only consolation was that Michael would never go to the dungeon as he had no idea that Cassy was there. Then when he was out, she would let Cassy go. Was that even possible? How was she going to pull this off? She was so confused. She had bitten more than she could chew. She rushed downstairs so she could meet up with welcoming Michael. She hugged him tightly outside the house. "Baby, I can feel you tensing against me. I hope you're okay."
