Fernando’s POV

The wail of the ambulance sirens faded into the distance, swallowed by the city’s roar, until only the shallow echo remained between the boutique walls and the trembling pavement.

For a moment, the silence that followed seemed louder than the sirens themselves.

Michael’s knees gave out beneath him. He stayed crouched in the middle of the parking lot, staring at the trail of blood Ashley had left smeared against the ground, as if frozen there by some invisible hand.

His mouth opened, but no words came, only a strangled sound, part sob, part scream.

I watched.

I didn’t flinch, I didn’t even blink, inside, I felt whole in a way only justice, my justice, could deliver.

Yesterday, in front of my men, she had humiliated me, her palm smacking across my face for all to see. She had dared to belittle me, to treat me as if I were some petty, powerless fool

No one slaps Fernando Ramirez and walks away alive, but I couldn’t show that satisfaction. Not here, not now.

So I drew in

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Tieing loose ends

Fernando’s POV I’ll be honest, I had hoped the ambulance wouldn’t make it.Not because I was threatened by Ashley in anyway. That’s the story I tell myself, anyway. It’s easier to pretend my thoughts are cold calculations rather than something darker. But in truth, her survival was a complication I didn’t want, a burden, a problem wrapped in flesh and blood that threatened everything I had worked for.So when the sirens wailed in the distance, growing louder, slicing through the city’s noise until they reached the hospital gates, a sour heaviness pressed down on my chest. It was disappointment, cold, sharp, and undeniable. The red-and-blue lights smeared across the glass doors as they burst open. The paramedics wheeled her in, pale as wax, blood staining the sheets beneath her body.I masked my disgust with a neutral face. Michael would never forgive me if he knew what I really felt, but deep down, I wished that second ambulance had broken down too. I wished the blood loss had clai

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   When Hope Bleeds Out

Michael’s POV The smell of antiseptic entered my nose the second we stormed into the hospital lobby. The place buzzed with frantic activity, but none of it mattered because Ashley wasn’t here.My eyes searched every corner, every door, every corridor that led deeper into the building. I searched for the paramedics who had whisked her away in the ambulance, searched for the familiar red-and-white flash of the vehicle itself, searched for anything that proved she was here and being helped. But she wasn’t.I spun on my heel, my heart pounding against my ribcage so violently it hurt. “Where the hell is she?” My voice cracked through the sterile air, drawing startled glances from patients and nurses. “Where the hell is Ashley?”Fernando came up behind me, his hand clamping down on my shoulder like iron. “Michael, calm down—”“Don’t tell me to calm down!” I shook him off and stalked toward the nearest nurse. “The ambulance! Where’s the ambulance that was supposed to have gotten here. W

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Consequences of Crossing Me

Fernando’s POVMichael’s scream tore through the parking lot like glass shattering against concrete.“Ashley!” he roared, the name echoing off the boutique walls. He dropped to his knees as his hands scrambled over her body, desperate, shaking. His fingers pressed against the blood spreading beneath her shirt, but it did nothing.I stood back at first, still, detached, my face an obvious mask of horror and disbelief. A role I had rehearsed countless times in my mind. I knew what expression would look genuine enough for Michael to believe. My lips parted as if to suggest shock, my brow furrowed, my body tense as though I, too, had been struck by tragedy. But inside I felt nothing. No pity, no sorrow, and no remorse. If anything, there was relief.Satisfaction curled low in my stomach, bitter but sweet, like a dark liquor sliding down my throat. This was what I had been waiting for. Ashley, with her stubborn eyes and her proud little chin, had thought herself untouchable. She had

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Blood on the Pavement

Michael’s POV I didn’t think I could ever get used to this kind of extravagance. The moment we approached the front desk, my palms started sweating, and not because I was nervous about fashion. It was because I already had a sinking feeling about what the bill was going to look like.Ashley walked beside me with an expression like she was watching me step into a world I clearly didn’t belong in. Fernando and Marlo, on the other hand, moved with the grace of people born into this lifestyle. They didn’t just walk, they owned the space. The sales associate smiled as she tapped away at the register. The sound of the scanner beeped again and again as each item was logged in. Finally, the register chimed, and she turned the screen toward Fernando.“That will be $12,783.45,” she said sweetly, as if the number wasn’t outrageous.I choked. “Excuse me?”Ashley blinked at the screen, her lips parting slightly. Even she, who had practically forced me into half of these outfits, seemed taken a

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   A Cage of Promises

Ashley’s POV I hated the silence after Fernando left the room.It wasn’t the comforting kind of silence you craved after a long day—it was the kind that lingered, heavy and suffocating, like the walls were listening, like the shadows leaned in closer. For hours, since this whole charade of “shopping” began, I had been careful. Careful with every look, every breath, every twitch of my hands. Because Fernando was always there. Watching. Controlling. His presence was a net I could not slip through. And then a few minutes ago, he had leaned down close enough that I could smell the cold edge of his cologne, and whispered his reminder, his warning, that he hadn’t forgiven me for slapping him yesterday. I had acted like it meant nothing. I had straightened my spine, lifted my chin, forced my voice not to shake. But inside I was trembling. If Michael hadn’t stepped out of the fitting room in that very second, I wasn’t sure what I would’ve done. Now Fernando was gone, leaving only the faint
