Fernando’s POV

“Well, well,” I said, tilting my head and turning my attention away from Michaeland focusing on whatever was happening here. “What a curious little meeting we have here.”

Anabelle immediately straightened, her posture becoming rigidly formal.

“Sir,” she said with the utmost respect, her voice steady but careful. “I—”

I held up a hand, stopping her.

“Anabelle,” I said smoothly, “what exactly are you doing outside the mansion at this hour? It is not your duty to patrol the gardens.”

Her lips parted slightly, as if trying to come up with an excuse, but she hesitated.

She knew better than to lie to me. Finally, after a very short while, she answered.

“I saw Michael walking through the garden,” she admitted. “I wanted to follow him.”

Michael scoffed under his breath, but I ignored him, keeping my eyes on Anabelle.

I took another step toward her, closing the distance just enough to make her feel my presence.

“And why did you feel the need to follow him?” I asked, my eyes s

The fabric clung stubbornly for a second before finally giving way, allowing me to throw it onto the chair in the corner of my dimly lit room. I stood before the mirror, glaring at my own reflection as if it had betrayed me.I could still feel the warmth of his lips on my hand and it only made me feel even more conflicted than I already was.I took a look at it, almost imagining him standing there just like he had done a few moments ago, while he kissed my knuckles with such delicate touch of his lips that I felt my breath hitch. Thus wasn't how it was supposed to go.My jaw clenched, my fingers twitching at my sides as I replayed that moment over and over in my head.Fernando.His voice. Fernando's POVThe food was hot and gave off the scent of something expensive and well-prepared. I should’ve been eating. My body was screaming for food after the long, exhausting times i have had—but my thoughts were wrapped around my ribcage, tight and suffocating.Michael was sitting right across from me, a fork in his hand, his head tilted slightly to the side as he chewed on his food in deliberate silence. Like I wasn’t even there. Like I hadn’t just tried—desperately—to get his attention in the garden. And it was driving me absolutely insane. He had ignored me in the garden. I saw the way his gaze had flicked past me like I was invisible, like the wind brushing his shoulder meant more than my presence. Then we came here, to the dining hall, and he still hadn’t said a word. Still hadn’t looked at me properly. Still hadn’t asked me if I was okay after everything we went through. It wasn’t like him.Michael was always composed, yes. Often quiet, yes. But he wasn’t this detached

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Poison in My Chest

Michael’s POVI didn’t expect those words from him.Not from the man who had murdered my sister.Yet there he sat, a soft glow of sincerity in his voice, his eyes steady and unwavering as he spoke—not with the cruel confidence I was used to seeing in his expression, but something… different. Something warmer. And it shook something loose in me.Something I didn’t want to feel.I knew the poison was there, hidden neatly in the delicately prepared dish placed at Fernando’s seat. I knew if he took even a few bites, his breath would catch in his throat, his heart would stutter, and he would die—painfully and silently, just as planned. But why now, of all moments, did I feel the tremble in my fingers?I didn’t even realize I was still holding his hand until he turned to me.“Michael… why are you holding me like this?” he asked. His voice was low, the same calm tone. But there was no edge in it. No mockery. Just a quiet question, spoken with a care I hadn’t expected. My eyes widened. I lo

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Justice

Michael’s POVI was watching, helpless, as Fernando took another bite of the food I had poisoned, and I couldn’t look away. He would die, and I would finally have my revenge. I would have the satisfaction of seeing him choke on his arrogance. But instead, the air was thick with tension, and the only sound that filled the room was the sound of his spoon on the plate.Fernando lifted his eyes from the meal, catching my gaze, and it hit me like a physical blow. His expression wasn’t one of fear or hesitation, but of something else entirely. He was calm. Too calm.“You know,” he said, breaking the silence, “you’re quite a sight when you’re angry, Michael. I almost feel sorry for you.”I couldn’t respond immediately. This man, the one who had killed my sister without a second thought, was sitting at this table, as if we were friends, as if I hadn’t been plotting to end his life for years. But I wasn’t feeling the sense of triumph I thought I would. I wasn’t feeling anything at all.I

Then another explosion came and this time it was closer and deeper. The ground beneath my feet shook. Shouts echoed across the estate, mixed with the chaos of gunfire and the loud sounds of alarms suddenly flaring to life.“What the hell—?”I turned around, my eyes darting around me, trying to make sense of it. My lungs pulled in smoke, thick and bitter, and my stomach twisted.Another blast. This one was near the front gate. Then came the numerous gunshots that were faint at first, but unmistakable. We were under attack from a very dangerous enemy, even worse than I had thought when I first heard the explosions.“Mortis!” I shouted, my voice nearly inaudib

Michael’s POVAll eyes were on me.The tension in the air felt like it could snap. Dust fell from the ceiling like ash as another distant explosion shook the foundation of the estate. Somewhere outside, the sounds of numerous gunfire burst through. It was obvious it was our men firing back at their enemies, eager to make sure none of them entered the mansion..Yet inside this dining hall, everything was still for a heartbeat.Mortis, Emilio, and Marlo stood in a semi-circle around me. Fernando’s limp body hung between Emilio’s arms as if he was already dead. The weight of leadership—or perhaps desperation—had momentarily fallen into my lap immediately I had said I had a plan, and they all waited for me to speak.I took a slow breath, steadying my voice.“I know a way out.”Mortis leaned in, narrowing his eyes. “You’re sure?”“I’ve studied this place,” I said. “Not on purpose, but… I noticed things. Patterns and routes.”“And suddenly, you have an escape route, just like that?” Marl

I could feel the weight of a dozen eyes pierce into my back, all of them stunned—and afraid. The smell of burnt gunpowder lingered, mixing with the tense air of the drawing room. Then Santiago roared.“What the hell just happened?!”Andrew laughed—a cruel, dry, almost unhinged sound. “Looks like the boyfriend still has a soft spot for the spy.”“Shut him up,” Santiago barked. His men didn’t hesitate. One shoved a gag into Andrew’s mouth, forcing him to the floor. Andrew glared at everyone with that same defiant fire, but it didn’t matter. He couldn’t speak now.Fernando didn’t say a word. • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Fernando's Fury

Fernando's POVThe echo of my boots was the only sound in the hallway as I led Michael back into the drawing room. My hands were in my coat pockets, fingers twitching for the comfort of power. Beside me, Michael was silent. Tense. His brows were furrowed, his thoughts clearly tangled. I didn't speak. Not yet. There would be time for words—my words—soon enough.Discovering that he has been so active during my time in coma only infuriated me more each time I thought about it.It was taking a huge amount of control for me not to beat him to a pulp just staring at him with his emotionless face.He had forgotten he belonged to me—only me—and he went ahead to fool around with the enemy which ended up bringing FBI agents to our doorsteps. Even thinking of the fact he was once an informant for the FBI brought fire in my mind because it meant he has been lying to me.What else has he been keeping from me?That would be a discussion I couldn’t wait to have.Michael was bad news for me but I

Michael's POVAshley was groaning in pain, her head leaned against the window of the FBI car I had carefully laid her in. It was hard for me to watch her I'm so much pain, especially when all she had done was help us even though it meant going against the FBI. Fernando was a real monster for doing this to her.The backseat was damp with blood, and the stench of metal clung to the air like guilt to my conscience. I glanced around, hoping and praying that Marlo would suddenly appear so that he can take Ashley to the hospital along with Anabelle. I needed someone I could trust to get Ashley out of here, someone who wouldn't let her down. But the world was quiet now, eerily so, and Marlo was nowhere in sight.I looked around, towards the mansion hoping to catch a glimpse of Marlo just as he is leaving but I didn’t see him.The realization of what I feared dawned on me like a cold, hard feeling."He already left, didn't he?" I muttered, my voice low with frustration. My fists clenched

Emilio followed closely behind, gripping Damian by the collar, the man nearly tripping over himself with each step. The floor, aged by time and conflict, creaked under the weight of our footsteps. Blood had been spilled outside—blood of men who thought they could outsmart me, the FBI agents whose corpses now served as a warning. But inside, it was quieter. The kind of quiet that precedes a storm.Santiago walked beside me. His slightly injured face was grim, jaw clenched so tightly the veins in his neck were visible. • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Blood in the Woods

Fernando’s POV I watched them through the small cracks on the front door, barely breathing as I tracked the movement of the agents. The trees concealed them well, but not well enough for someone like me. I knew the woods. I knew the mansion. And most of all, I knew how the minds of men like Andrew worked.Based on Marlo’s explanation, he was the leader of those agents of fools and if there was one thing I was good at, that was gaining a upper hand against proud men.Ashley winced as she leaned against a nearby wall. Her side was soaked with blood, and every breath she took looked like it cost her something vital. Still, she didn’t complain. I was impressed. I liked that about her.Michael, on the other hand, was fidgeting."You’re going to take her out the front," I said, my voice cold and unwavering.Michael blinked. "What? Are you insane? Michael’s POV The sharp scent of gunpowder still lingered in the room, moving in the air like invisible smoke. My hands were filled with blood—Ashley’s blood—but I had managed to stop the bleeding. The bullet had torn through the fleshy part of her upper arm, but thankfully, it hadn’t shattered a bone or struck an artery. I wrapped the last layer of cloth tightly around her wound, silently thanking whatever god might still be watching us that it wasn’t worse.Ashley winced but kept quiet, her face pale but determined. Her eyes held fury—not just pain—and they were fixed on the man who had shot her. Fernando.I looked up at him.He stood a few feet away, as if nothing had happened, casually adjusting the sleeves of his dark shirt. They didn’t know who they were messing with.“So they’re right outside?” I asked, my voice low.Marlo nodded, his face set in a grim line. “Yes, they’ve got men. They’re here to finish the job.”The pain from my body, the aftermath of the poison, wasn’t enough to slow me down. Not now.“We’ll give them a job they won’t expect,” I said. My voice was steady, unwavering. “We’ll hit them from behind. Take out their agents, steal their vehicles, and leave this fucking place in ruins.”Michael, who had been silent up until then, finally spoke, his voice heavy with concern. “And Anabelle?
