Adele's POV
I saw those people were waiting outside. They were giving us last alert to leave the cafe. Or else the were not gonna take any responsibility for our sufferings as they were going to crash the shop. I saw Mariah was shedding teats silently. This cafe was everything to her, her child, her family, her soul and love. She worked hard to establish this cafe Abd suddenly it was going to be locked. All of those were only because of me.
I saw the Mercedes Benz S class was waiting outside, windows closed. I knew it was Albert. He was sitting inside to observe my every move. But I was not going to protest. For the last three days, I couldn't help Mariah. I was too engaged in my works to care about these. Andrew and me almost solved the case. I didn't want anyone to find my weakness before finishing the game. This time opponents were not own people, they were bloodthirsty and wicked. It was not good to let him face Albert until Andrew's works done.
I p
"You've grown up!" Adele was admiring the little girl in front of her. The cute chubby girl used to meet her little brother in night clubs suddenly turned into so mature, so bold. "It's been two years, Amber. I should have changed." She smiled sweetly, "Thanks for helping Andrew. My freak brother is making you suffer a lot " Deliah was Andrew's sister. His one and only sister. But as usual he was over protective on her. They lost their parents when she was just eight. Andrew took care of her all the time. Deliah and Everett met when they were neighbours. Those two childhood neighbours gradually turned into friends, more than friends. They were lovers. As every story needed a villain, so here came Andrew, being the dominating hard to please guardian. It's true Everett was a little childish and sometimes dumb but that man thought him hundred times bad. Adele was not into neighbours. So she met him in Canada when she was studying there. Only then she knew he was
"I said marry me..why don't you listen?" The harsh voice made Adele feel like vomiting. She couldn't believe the guts of this man. He even dared to plan about kidnapping her. He just used Andrew's driver, he even dared."How could you say that to me? You're my uncle!" Adele tried hard to free herself from the rope but she couldn't. The three of them were given chloroform in the car right after getting in. And they were sent in front of David Hall.David Hall was actually the younger sibling of Adele's mother. He's almost 17 years rounder than his sister. After her death, the family lost all contacts with them, specially with David. When Adele was in Canada she wanted to investigate her parents murder without even letting Lucas know. So she found David's address after a lot of hard work which was her first mistake. But when she met him at last, he started to lust on her. He kept pestering her for marrying him. She was feeling the necissity of killing him but she had to
Everett and Timber was dumbfounded by those sudden cards helping them one after another. Of course the person who threw those had an excellent aim. As being a member of mafia family, they knew how much practice it required to get such an aim. They didn't expect anyone to help them like this. They didn't even think Adele and Andrew created this trap to make David fall in it. Andrew smirked at David as he knew it was time to accomplish their plans. He was only waiting for the grand entry. David frowned not understanding who was with them but he already guessed who it could be. And he never wanted his guess to be true. But luck was not in his favour. "Who is with you?" He asked in a shaky voice. He was afraid of this man. "Forgot me that soon? No fair, David. We still have some calculations left." The magnetic voice echoed from the door. Robert was standing with a cold, poker and emotionless face, eyes on David as if killing him by dagger like looks. Gray
Adele's POV "I'm here to meet Albert Knight." I bit my lips in tension. Last time when I did it I used to work in Knight Enterprises. I was his employee, his wife. And now I'm his runaway wife. I didn't know if I would get the permission to meet him or not. I felt the receptionist looked at him with horror. She didn't even blink for a few minutes, "Are you sure, ma'am?" "Of course! That's why I'm here." I frowned. Why it was so rare to get a chance of meeting CEOs? "Err...do you have any appointment?" She again asked. Confusion and fear were overloaded in her eyes. Didn't anyone ask to meet him before? "No, can't I meet him without any appointment?" I asked trying to calm myself down. I knew things have been changed. It won't be good to barge in his office like that. Maybe he wouldn't like. "Sorry, ma'am...boss has a really bad mood today. We can't arrange the appointment right now." She said with a polite smile. "O
"Brat! You're going to fall in danger." Adele smacked Everett's head a little."Hey! Do you think I'm here to play with my brother in law? No way! I've better works to do. I'm just here to dry your hairs." He said while wiping Adele's hairs with towel, " Since childhood you hated the thing, and I did it for you. I missed it Amber." He sighed.Their childhood was really full of happiness until that night came. But nothing stopped their growing affections and bond to become stronger. After moving to San Francisco, they became each other's life without even saying. Amber was like their pampering mother, Everett and Elora was like her spoiled child. But yet they spoiled her little too. Everett liked to dry her hairs, Elora liked to do her makeups. She was really pampered by them."I missed you to Eve, I missed everyone." She pressed her lips together firmly."Hmmm, I know." He smiled, "You family missed you too, Amber. Like that Albert Knight did.
"What the hell!!!" Adele shouted loudly as she panicked to see Albert get unconscious on the road."Eve, come over here! Hurry up!" She really couldn't get mad at Everett for punchering those tyres as no matter what happened Albert must have stood there for hours even in the rain. She just wanted to curse her bad luck."What happened?" Everett, who was busy in his work, suddenly came all the way running with her sudden and restless voice. The moment he looked through the window, his face changed drastically. He didn't know something like this would happen because of his childishness."Let's go. Have a look at him." Everett pulled her when she behaved reluctantly, "What's the point? They won't let us go near him. I'm just a nobody. Not the Wilsons, nor Mrs. Knight. I ca
Albert's POV Now what the hell does these people want? She left me like she was never in my life. And now trying to get me back. Robert was the one to ask her to come here. Now he also came to meet. Not that I hate my family. But they just kicked me out of the family. If they were having any problem, they could share, right? We could have found a way out to get rid of all those. But they just chose to keep me in the dark and fight on their own. I didn't know if it meant anything good or bad, I was just mad at them. "What do you want now?" I asked Robert coldly. I didn't know he could forget me so fast after getting a companion, my wife. Both of them ditched me. "At least it's not you whom I want to meet now. It's Adele and Andrew." He smirked.
"I am here to meet Mr. Albert Knight." Adele bit her lips in tension knowing he won't agree again. The day, he left just after Everett's words. He was actually afraid to show his soft corners to the whole world. He didn't like how people around him could read his mind. He was afraid to get caught by them that he loved her all the time didn't matter what she did or not."Ma'am, I'm sorry again. You can't." The receptionist was feeling bad for her. She went yesterday and now again. Maybe she had something urgent."Umm...I understand." She nodded a little with a sigh, "Just inform your president, I won't come here to disturb his works anymore. I don't want him to waste time for me."She went to the elevator with a heavy heart. She didn't know what to do. Though yesterday
