Arianna's POV

“Get out of here, you weakling!” the guards muttered as I was tossed out through the gates of the castle.

Allowing my body to rub against the dust of the earth, I broke down in tears, feeling the overwhelming pain from the rejection.

I had never envisaged this, but I guess this was the fate of an omega wolf who felt she could be mated to an Alpha.

Slowly picking up the remains of my battered and broken self, I kept sobbing softly, tears still trailing down my eyes as I dragged my feet and made my way towards my house.

I trailed down the lonely path, lost in my own thoughts while keeping my eyes on the road.

Rumours had already spread throughout the city, and several other werewolves kept murmuring as I walked past their midst.

As I dragged my feet towards the entrance of my house, my eyes locked onto my grandmother's.

She glared at me, her eyes piercing through my teary eyes.

She suddenly gasped, perking up from her seat as she hurriedly raced towards me and grabbed me within her arms, embracing me tightly.

My emotions slowly grew impossible to hold in as I broke down in her arms, letting tears flow like water through my eyes.

“Who did this to you?” She asked while consoling me in her warm arms.

I kept sobbing, unable to speak because of the pain that clutched my heart tightly.

She realised my inability to speak and kept quiet, patting my back as she led me towards the house.

She pulled the door open, giving way for me to slowly force my way in as she shut the door behind me.

“Don't stress yourself so much,” she said softly, offering me a chair to sit on.

She quickly headed towards the kitchen, probably to fix me something to eat.

“Look who's back,” a beautiful soft voice cheered as she walked out to the sitting room.

It was Celine. My childhood friend who I grew up with.

Celine's gaze narrowed, and her eyebrows furrowed deeply as she set her eyes on me in this pathetic state.

“What happened? Why are you like this?” She asked curiously, rushing to my side immediately.

But I didn't have the strength to utter even a single word.

“Come one, Arianna. Talk to me, let me go ahead and show them that they don't mess with you,” she gritted angrily.

“Go easy on her. She hasn't said a single word to me since she found her dragging her way in while crying,” grandma said as she walked in, holding a cup of water and a hot plate in the other hand.

Celine, realising the depth of my situation slowly took a seat next to me, wrapping her arms around my shoulder.

“I swear in my life, I'll kill anyone who's responsible for this. Just give me some names,” she said softly, clenching her fists tightly.

“Oh my gosh, Celine. You're always about brute strength. Help me…

“He rejected me,” I finally broke my silence.

Their eyes widened, and they all went mute, jaws dropped as their faces went riddled with utter shock.

Celine cleared her through, her eyes flickering a bit as she stood and moved back a bit, trying to get a closer look at me.

 “What did you just say?”

The tears slowly came back, rolling down my cheeks once more.

“You heard me. He said I'm too weak to be his Luna,” I replied.

I could feel Celine burning with so much fury over her.

Grandma had already dropped what she had in her hand and quickly found a place to sit while still stricken with shock.

“But he loved you more than anything,” she muttered.

“I guess it was all a lie,” I sniffled, trying so hard to get a hold of my emotions.

“I'll have his head rolling tonight,” Celine growled as she angrily made way for the door.

“Don't do that, Celine!” I yelled, grabbing her arms immediately.

But she wrestled against me, trying to free herself from my grip as her fury burned even more.

Grandma quickly got up and helped me grab her tightly, wrapping her arms around her.

“Just let hom be, Celine,” she whispered coldly into her ears.

With an enraged breath, Celine turned towards me, her eyes beaming with so much fury.

She glared at me for a while as though she was trying to speak through her eyes.

I nodded softly, urging her to calm down, and everything was fine.

Her breathing slowly calmed, and her nerves slowly went back in check.

Even though she was so pissed, she just had to put a hold on her temper after seeing the calmness in my eyes.

“But why, Arianna?” She asked, grabbing my hand softly.

“It's not worth it. It's not worth fighting for,” I replied.

“Then what do you want to do?” She asked, glaring straight into my eyes.

“I just need to be at peace,” I alighted from my chair and headed straight for my room as I shut the door behind me.

I couldn't sleep through the night, the crickets creaking, and the night wind howling, I stayed awake through them all.

But as the sun rose upon my face, which was staring out the window, a sudden thought struck my once feeble mind.

Maybe I was weak after all. Maybe I need to get stronger.

I hurriedly turned around, grabbed a bag, and began to throw my stuff into it.

Celine, reacting to the noise, woke up while stretching my body with a drowsy loon on her face.

“What's going on,” she yawned, flickering her eyes wide open as she glared at me.

I remained quiet, still packing my luggage with so much resilience and determination.

Tears were slowly streaming down my eyes, but I wasn't going back on this decision.

If he sees some weakness in me, then I have to show him that I can grow stronger, stronger than he has ever seen.

“Stop, Arianna, Stop!!” Celine yelled, grabbing my hand as she locked eye contact with me.

“Are you trying to leave?” She asked softly, glaring into my pain stricken eyes.

Arianna's POV I slowly turned towards her, but I was stunned by what I saw. “Why do you have a bag with you, and why do you look like you're embarking on a journey?” I asked confusingly. “How the hell will I let you walk this path alone? I told you I was going to be with you every step of the way,” she said, slowly walking towards me with a glowing smile on her face. “Where do you think I'm going to?” I asked, arms arched above my waist as I glared at her. “Anywhere you're going. Not like you have an idea where you're going to as well,” she replied. We both burst into laughter, hanging our arms over our shoulders as we both decided to leave together. But just as we were about to leave, grandma rushed out through the door, causing us to turn immediately. “Are you both thinking of leaving me without telling me anything,” she sobbed as tears trailed down her eyes. Seeing her break down emotionally, I quickly rushed to her as I grabbed her, embracing her tightly. “I di

Arianna's POV “Damien!” I gritted angrily. “Whay is he doing here?” Celine stood up angrily, her fists clenched tightly as she glared at him. “Easy… easy. I've not come here to fight,” he said, slowly inching towards me as he got down from his horse. “Then why are you here?” I asked angrily, my voice echoing with so much grief and pain. Setting my eyes on him reminded me of the pain I've been passing through. I threw my mind back to the humiliation I was made to face before the whole pack. “Shoukd I rip his limbs apart?” Celine growled angrily. “Just leave us. I'll be fine. Let me hear hom speak,” I urged. “Arianna…” “Just give me some space,” I demanded firmly. “Alright,” she said as she took a few steps away, allowing me some space alone with Damien. Damien was still meekly poised and inching closer to me, subtly putting each foot in front of the other. “I suggest you stop right there. Don't come any further,” I declared, taking receding steps away from him.

Arianna's POV. I sniffled, cleaning up the tears that were already trailing down my eyes. I didn't have the time to show weakness or any form of pain. “Just let me do what I want,” I said, pulling my arm off her grip immediately. But Celine grabbed me again. This time, her grip was tighter than before. “Not until you tell me what you're about to do. I can't sit back and watch you try to do something reckless,” she said firmly, pushing my bag away from me. “What do you even want from me? Why do you still care? I'm weak and you know that!” I yelled, breaking slowly into my emotions. “I care about you so much. Here, look at me,” she snapped her fingers at my face, urging me to turn towards her. I slowly lifted my eyes, gently turning my head until my eyes got locked onto hers. Deep within her beautiful eyes, I could see trails of pain. “Do you think I'm happy seeing you like this, huh?” she said. “But why do you care so much? What use am…” “Shhhhh!!” She placed he

  • Darkness looms in Mystic Falls    Chapter 1

Arianna's POV It's been a decade since my grandmother told me about a witch from the Noble family. Their battle against the Moonstone pack had left a great scar in Mystic Falls, starting from the discrimination against omega wolves who were recorded to have made no significant contribution in the battle, to the total eradication of witches. Grandma always told me that the witch lurks within us, according to the great prophecy of old. She always said that there shall come a time in Mystic Falls when the dark force shall arise, determined to resurrect her kind and create a new dawn of darkness. But I guess those were all just fallacies because Mystic Falls has known nothing but peace. “Arianna!!” I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, snapping me out of my reverie. I quickly turned as my eyes locked onto Damien's, meeting his piercing grey eyes. “Phew!! I've been trying to get your attention for ages now. What have you been thinking about?” He let out a huge sigh of relief as
