Chapter 91 – The Showdown

Chelsea paced the length of the living room, her heart pounding, fists clenching and unclenching at her sides. Every time she looked at the photo Aria had sent, she wanted to scream. She had tried to convince herself it was just a ploy, a twisted little trick Aria had cooked up. But the timing, the backdrop, the vehicle—it all aligned too perfectly.

She finally threw her phone onto the couch.

Reese sat calmly on the barstool by the kitchen island, sipping a smoothie, watching Chelsea as if she were a ticking bomb.

“Chels,” Reese said softly, “you need to breathe.”

Chelsea stopped pacing and turned to her. “She sent me a picture, Reese. She was with him. In the U.S. She didn’t just follow him—she got into his house.”

“And you’re still jumping to conclusions,” Reese replied, setting her cup down. “He told you he was coming back. He said he loved you. That has to count for something.”

Chelsea huffed. “Then why didn’t he say she was there?”

Chapter 94 : A lie through the eyes.Chelsea adjusted her glasses nervously as she entered the examination hall. Her palms were clammy, her heart racing. This was it—her final exams. The moment she had worked toward for so many years. She clutched her pen tighter and murmured a silent prayer before sitting down. She could feel the weight of her own expectations pressing down on her chest. The invigilator distributed the question papers row by row, and a hush settled over the room as students began writing. Chelsea flipped the paper and skimmed through the questions. Her brow furrowed as she tried to focus. Her mind felt like it was racing too fast for her hand to keep up. She turned the page—and something slipped out.A folded piece of paper fluttered to the ground. She blinked. What was that? The student beside her glanced sideways. Before Chelsea could pick it up or even process what it was, the invigilator—a middle-aged woman with sharp features and a hawk-like gaze—strode over and

Chapter 93 : Her reassuring words The sun was bright and forgiving as Chelsea and Liam walked side by side down the quiet street, fingers gently intertwined. The city buzzed around them, but for now, it felt like they were in a world of their own—no chaos, no secrets, just the comfort of each other’s presence. After everything that had happened recently, a normal day out was what they both needed. They found a cozy, rooftop restaurant downtown with a clear view of the busy roads below. Sitting by the railing, Chelsea sighed contentedly as the breeze danced through her hair.“I’m glad we decided to do this,” she said, looking at Liam with a soft smile. “Just relax… be us, before work starts again tomorrow.”Liam smiled in return, reaching across the table to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yeah. We deserve one day of peace.”As they waited for their drinks, Chelsea looked at him curiously. “By the way, have you spoken to your mom lately?”He paused, eyes trailing off toward th

Chapter 92 : Her Anger.Aria stormed into the living room, slamming the door behind her with so much force that one of the picture frames on the wall tilted. Her face was flushed red with anger, her heels clicking harshly against the tiled floor as she marched toward her father, Charles, who was seated in his usual armchair with a glass of bourbon in hand.“Aria,” he said cautiously, lowering his drink, “What in God’s name happened?”“That lowlife rejected me!” she shrieked, throwing her purse onto the couch. “Right in front of that brat Chelsea. Do you know how humiliated I felt?”Charles sighed, already sensing the drama that was about to unfold. “Is this still about Liam?”Aria spun around to face him, her eyes wild with emotion. “Of course, it’s about Liam! He came back and didn’t even bother to tell me. I was waiting—,waiting like some fool—and he just waltzed into his house with her, acting like I don’t exist!”Charles gestured for her to sit down, trying to stay calm. “Listen t

Chapter 90 – Crossing Borders and Burning BridgesThe next morning was quiet.Liam stood in front of his suitcase, methodically folding the last of his clothes, the hum of the early morning sun streaming through the curtains. The room, though large and comfortable, had grown suffocating over the past few days. There was too much tension in the air, too many unspoken truths clinging to the walls like dust.He zipped up his bag and turned to find Adams leaning against the doorframe, watching him with tired eyes.“You’re really leaving today,” Adams said, more a statement than a question.Liam nodded. “My flight is in three hours.”Adams stepped in and shut the door behind him, his expression unreadable. “Look, about everything that’s happened... I know it’s been ugly. And there’s probably more we don’t even know yet. But I hope... I mean, I really hope we can move forward. No hard feelings.”Liam studied his face, then slowly extended his hand. “It’s a start.”Adams ignored the hand and

Chapter 89 – Caught red handed.Sandra giggled as her lover trailed kisses down her neck, their bodies wrapped under the silky sheets of the hotel bed. The room was dimly lit, soft music playing from her phone’s speaker, and the scent of wine and perfume lingered heavily in the air. She traced lazy circles on his bare chest, her voice smug and low."I'm almost done with my job in the Hemsworth mansion," she said, her tone dripping with pride. "Once Adams signs those papers, his share of the company will be mine. Completely. The fool still thinks I'm just his supportive wife."Her lover laughed, brushing his fingers along her collarbone. "You’re brilliant, babe. I can’t believe you’re pulling this off so easily. After that, we leave this country, right?"She smirked. “First-class tickets already paid for. Once I get that signature, we vanish.”Her phone buzzed, vibrating against the nightstand. She groaned and reached for it, her eyes narrowing as she saw the name flashing on the scree
