John POV I looked down at my sleeping mate, admiring my mark on her neck. She was mine. My fingers traced the spot where she had left her own mark. I wasn't expecting that. I knew she had wolf in her, but even after weeks of training with Ivan, she hadn't unlocked anything. He did say that mating would help. Maybe that’s what happened. It was morning now. I knew we should go down for breakfast to get something to fuel our bodies, but I was still exhausted, and I didn't think Becca would be able to get down the stairs. As I was thinking about it, the smell of bacon, eggs, and toast started crawling in from the door. I sleepily shuffled to the door and opened it to see a full breakfast tray. I looked up and down the hallway. No one was there, but I was thankful to whoever had thought of us. I picked up the tray and brought it to the bed. Becca looked so peaceful but her body had been through a lot, and she needed to eat. “Bex?” I shook her gently. “Hey, Bex!” “Mhmm?” She didn’t move
Beccas POV More planning went into the Luna ceremony than I thought. I had been texting Ruthie for help but it wasn't the same as having her here. We all sat at the table eating lunch together. Ivan was finally eating with us again. Whatever caused his bad mood yesterday must have resolved itself. “Ugh, when is she going to be back?” I whined. “I can't do this by myself!” “You’re not by yourself, we're all here.” Trish smiled at me. “Yeah, but Ruthie’s the only one who knows how to plan a party this big!” A raised eyebrow from Ivan made me realize how whiny I was being. “I’m sorry you guys, some Luna I’m being right now." “Just don’t think about it right now love. Ruthie’s great at this type of thing, she won’t let you down.” I smiled up at John. He has always been comforting but I felt so much closer to him since last night. “Don’t worry Rebecca,” Jenna spoke up. “Ruthie’s already been planning a bit, she knew this was coming. We’ll be her hands and feet until she gets
King Claude POV “Your majesty?” Alejandro stepped into the room. “What is it?!” I had been nothing but aggravated since Princess Rebecca had gone missing. I burned with anger but had nowhere to direct it. If Ivan wasn’t in on it, and still alive he would have been back by now. She wouldn’t have been able to overpower a vampire though, unless she had the mutts help her. “We have an appointment for three of us to meet with the Eclipse packs Alpha. They will supervise us but we can search the forest on their land. Not where the houses are though.” I glared at him. If I wanted to search the houses I would search the houses and no one could stop me. Stupid wolves were dumb and easy to manipulate. I had to be careful though, it was a huge pack, bigger than my clan, and war was often a numbers game. The only reason I haven't stomped them out was simply because I knew we couldn’t win against so many. I took Alejandro and Julius with me as we drove into the mountains. They and Ivan were my
Ivans POV Rebecca looked gorgeous in her pink dress. I was amazed at how much like her mother she looked. She carried herself with the same grace she had as well. I missed her still sometimes even though it had been years. We stood on the stage together waiting for the ceremony to begin. “You look just like your mother.” I smiled at her as she beamed. “Thank you for being here Ivan, it means a lot.” “Anything for you princess.” I bowed my head. One of the elders stepped forward to the mic and started rattling off some text on tradition, I was only half paying attention. My eyes were on the crowd. I was getting more than a few strange looks, but no one looked like they wanted to kill me which was a good sign. John stepped forward. “Thank you all for being here tonight. I know we have been waiting for this moment for a long time, and I’m thrilled I finally get to present your Luna to you. As you all get to know her you will find she is sweet, kind, smart, and strong. I can think of
Beccas POV “Can you believe it?!” I asked John as I took out my silver earrings. We were back in our room after the party and my mind was reeling over what we just saw. “This whole time...THE WHOLE TIME!” I snapped my jewelry case shut. “I can’t believe they didn’t tell anyone!” John walked over and started massaging my shoulders. “Becca I told you, Ruthie had been rejected before, she wasn’t about to announce she had another mate just to be rejected again.” “He would never!” I remembered back to when Ruthie told me she had a mate, but that it had been a shock. No kidding! Ivan would have been completely stupefied. He had never gotten along with wolves, besides me I guess. Even so, Ivan would never reject a mate. He didn’t have it in him. “She seemed to think he was going to.” “He must have just been scared, I’d bet my life on it. Ivan is terrified of change, but always does the right thing.” “Well, I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. But I hope you’re right.” I took out some makeup
Ivan POV “On. Your. Knees.” Ruthie dropped to the floor immediately. I had been making mental notes all week of what really drove her out of her mind with pleasure. I hadn’t been a good mate so far, but that changed tonight. Tonight she was going to feel like the goddess she was. I slowly circled around her, loosening my tie, and unbuttoning my shirt. “What do you address me as?” “Sir.” “You may also call me Ivan today.” I wanted her to feel the intimacy we had been avoiding. “And who are you?” “Your little cum slut.” I smirked. “and who’s in charge?” “You are sir.” “Good girl.” This was the first time we would actually have contact with each other, and I had a few things in mind I was a little nervous about, not ever having discussed her boundaries. She was strong, but I was still much stronger than she was, and I didn’t want to hurt her. “Safeword is apple.” She nodded. I grabbed her hair forcing her to look up at me. “Use your words.” “Safeword is apple, got it.” Her vo
Lilly’s POV “That brat thinks she’s so special. So she lived with vermin vampires. How will that make her a good Luna?” I glared onto the dance floor where that bitch danced with what was supposed to be my husband. I had rejected my mate for him to prove I truly loved him. That I would be a worthy Luna, but he didn’t care. I wondered how long they had known each other. Maybe she had manipulated him into saying no to me in the first place. Oh, but that had been years ago. My mind kept racing for possible explications. Maybe the vampires had taught her how to play mind games? “Lilly, maybe it’s time to give it up. I was behind you all the way before he found his mate, but you know how strong the bond is. He’s not going to leave her for you.” Tessa one of my best friends was sitting with me while our boyfriends got us drinks. “Bonds can be broken.” I scoffed. I was no stranger to broken bonds. “Why can’t you be happy with Patrick? He adores you! It’s not a mate bond but he’s a good ma
“Hello, This is Lil...Jenna, I’m the secretary at the Shadow Mountain Pack, I was wondering if I could speak to you about one of your transferred pack members?” I had to be careful. Who knows how many people she had wrapped around her finger? “Yes of course, How can I help you?” "See, I was just creating a file for our wonderful new Luna Rebecca, and am missing some crucial information. I was wondering if you could email me a copy of her file?” “Luna Rebecca? I don't know any Rebeccas but then again, I can't know everyone. Yes, I can look into that for you, I’ll just need Alpha Ethan's validation code before I relinquish any personal information.” “Of course! Now, our office computer has a bug, would you mind sending it to my personal email? I changed it recently, I can give it to you now.” “Of course ma'am. I’m going to place you on hold while I get my Alphas code. He’s very busy this morning, it may take a few minutes.” “Of course, I understand how it is. Take your time.” I wai
