Chapter Forty Nine

Killian nodded and I hesitantly made my way over to John. I owed him an explication, though I didn’t even know where to start. I was still pissed that he never told me about Lilly. Even more so that he had kissed her in Colorado. I didn’t want to believe it but Alejandro confirmed it for me. He deserved a chance to tell his side of the story at the very least. I pulled myself up onto storm and we rode off silently. After a few minutes, he spoke quietly,

“On the day we brought you back here, when you found out who you were, when you ran into Lilly, I told you it wouldn’t always be like that.”
