Chapter Twenty Nine

Becca POV

“I’m taking you horseback riding.” John announced as I headed to our closet.

I stared at him wide eyed as anxiety crept in. “Why?”

“Because You need to at least learn the basics. As Luna, you’re not expected to do farm hand work. but you do need to know how so you can help organize and lead the people that do.”

Of course I would have to be out on the ranch, but I hadn't been thinking about that. My mind was more focused on shifting and training and the ceremony. It shouldn't have come to me as a shock but it did.

“John, I’ve never been near a horse in my life, what if it kicks me? Or bucks me off?”

“It’ll be fine Bex. Our horses are good." He reassured me. "They are used to us. We can even shift right next to them and they wouldn’t even flinch.

I shifted uncomfortably. I had always liked the country aesthetic, but practically I was clueless. Not only had I grown up in a city, but I also grew up spoiled in a mansion.

“What's wrong?” He asked, noticing my hesitation.
