Chapter 4

𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙙'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑

I woke up the next day to a banging on my door. 

I picked up my phone and looked at my time and groan in annoyance at the interruption of my beautiful dream about my goddess who was about to kiss me. 

I knew it was the renovation day of my mansion and looking at the time, I knew the team was here. 

I stood up and wore my shirt and opened the door only to find my annoying brother at the door looking happier than his usual happy self. 

"Guess who is here? " 

I rolled my eyes and walked away to the bathroom with him following. 

"Come on guess. " 

"Eh..... One of your whores. " 

He frown and shook his head as I brushed my teeth. 

"No it not any whore because I don't have one like the numerous ones you have...... Any ways, you remember the team coming to renovate the place. " I nodded as I rinsed my mouth with a mouth wash. "The lady we met at the restaurant last night is the head of the team. "

I nearly choked on the mouthwash as I turned to look at him and he smiled and nodded. 

"What a coincidence that she is here!...... This is proof that you have to ask her out and you never know....... She might be the one. " Collin said but I shook my head no and he frown. "You know not all women are Selina right!?...... Selina was a gold digger who pretended to love you but was banging Noel...... She played with your emotions and turned you into a man whore but you allowed yourself go..... Don't let good things pass you by and stop this playboy lifestyle of yours because someday when you really want to settle down, it will come back to bite you and you have no one to blame but yourself. " 

I looked at my little brother and deep down I knew he was right but to love again is impossible because I don't have a heart. 

"Any ways mum asked me to tell you to come home for dinner today and please don't disappoint her because am tried of being the bearer of her nagging each and every time you fail to show up. " 

I nodded and he tapped my shoulder and walked out as I slammed onto the bed bouncing me back. 

I stood up and moved down stairs and lo and behold it was my goddess in a simple jeans paired with a black crop top and a black blazer on top with her curly hair in a high bun instructing the team on what to do and I cleared my throat and she turned and my oh my, my breath hitched. 

If yesterday I thought she was pretty, today I know she is flawlessly gorgeous and she had beautiful green eyes which I never knew black people had. 

"Nice to meet you Mr David Gandy. " She said in her American accent and I loved how my name rolled so smoothly and softly on her tongue and wonder how good it will feel hearing her moan as I thrust into her. "As I told Mr Collin Gandy, we will be done in a couple of days....... I have spoken to your brother and he suggested you move out but it won't be necessary because we are only renovated down stairs and the pool area so please feel free to stay and pardon as for any disturbances which is bound to occur so my apologies in advance" 

I nodded and she smiled and turned back to her team. 

I was amazed at how she didn't feel uncomfortable or intimidated or flirted with me like all the women I have met including those on her team who were busy pulling down their blouses and showing their disgusting cleavages. 

I looked at how gracefully and professional she was with her workers and admired her for that. 

I heard a snicker behind me and knew it was my brother and I grunt and turned to him with  knitted eyebrows. 

"What? " 

"You definitely like her and you have to ask her out or else I will. " 

I rolled my eyes and walked away into my study and he followed me. 

"Collin....... Don't you have work? " I asked and he shook his head. 

"I don't....... I took a day off today. " He replied as I sat in my swivel chair. 

"Does dad know? " I asked and he nodded. "Okay...... Now out...... I have work to do. " 

He walked out but peeked back into the study. 

"Three days...... If you do not ask her out I will on your behave. " 

I glared at him and he giggled and closed the door leaving me smiling like a fool. 

I had a multi billion project coming up and was so engrossed in it that i didn't even realize to was already evening and my stomach was growling. 

Going on an empty stomach was something I did a lot and most people would have passed out if they were me but I was used to it. 

I stood up and headed to the kitchen only to hear the most melodious giggling I have ever heard. 

I entered to find my nanny and caretaker Gloria engrossed in a conversation with my goddess. 

I looked st the time to find out it was past ten minutes past nine and was surprised she was still here. 

I cleared my throat gaining their attention but I felt sad seeing her smile drop. 

"The workaholic caveman is finally out of his cave. " Gloria teased and I chuckled. 

"When did you arrive? " I asked as I poured myself some wine but it was snatched away from me by Gloria. 

"I know you haven't eaten since morning so no wine for until you eat something. " 

I saluted and sat on the chair closer to the island. 

"Miss Gloria....... I think it's time to leave...... By now the road would have been cleared. " My goddess said as Gloria dished out some spaghetti and meatballs onto a plate but stopped hearing her. 

"No dear........ I think you should stay here with me tonight because it very dangerous when accidents like that happens and it's also raining, which is not safe. " Gloria voiced out in concern but she smiled and shook her head no. 

"Thank you so much Miss Gloria but I can take care of myself and promise to be safe. " 

Gloria sighed and placed the food in front of me with a fork and moved to her bag and took out a card and handed it to her. 

"This is my number....... Call me immediately you get to your hotel..... Okay. " 

"I will Miss Gloria. She replied and turned to me with a professional smile. " Goodnight Mr Gandy and good night Miss Gloria. " 

"Goodnight to you too my dear and don't forget to call me. "

She nodded and then took her and walked out leaving I and Gloria alone. 

"Such a wonderful lady. " 

I nodded and hummeed and turned to find her smiling at me with one of her eyebrows raised. 

"What? "

"She is not one of your flings so eyes off her. " 

"I know. "

I giggled as I digged into the delicious spaghetti and meatballs and moaned st how delicious it was totally ignoring Gloria. 

"Your spaghetti tastes so different today and why is she still here so late at this hour" 

"The route to her hotel was a scene of an accident and with it pouring outside, I asked her to keep me company as the road was being cleared and she volunteered to cook the spaghetti for me. " 

I was shocked hearing that my goddess was the one who cooked the food. 

She was not only beautiful and intelligent, she was also a very good cook. 

I quickly finished up my meal and bid good night to Gloria, went into my room and showered. 

I laid on the bed with the beautiful image of my goddess smiling and for the first time in years, I slept with no worries and a warm heart. 

I woke up the next day dressed to go to the office but stopped hearing Gloria and seeing her face etched in worry and her voice laced with concern. 

"Don't worry dear...... I will send you some soup and I won't take no for an answer. " She paused and nodded and then continued. "I will send someone to bring you the soup and make sure you are well covered to keep you warm..... Bye dear. " 

She cut the call and turned to fill a bowl with a deliciously aromatic soup. 

"What going on? " I asked breaking her reverie. 

"Oh my boy........ Maya dear come down with a cold because her car broke down on  her way and she had to walk all the way to her hotel since there was no cabs...... I will send someone Blake to give her this soup and make your breakfast in a few minutes. " 

"Don't bother....... I will take the soup to her and had some breakfast at the office. " 

Gloria looked shocked for a moment but smiled and wiggled her eyebrows and the moved closer and punched my cheeks. 

"Looks like my boy is catching feelings for Mayaaaa. " 

I rolled my eyes at her and she giggled. 

"First it was Collin and now you. " She looked surprised hearing me say that. "I just wanted to help that all...... Now here address . " 

Gloria shook her head and texted me her address and I immediately took the soup and swiftly walked out but heard Miss Gloria laughing and shook my head as I entered my Bugatti Divorce and drove out of the mansion. 

Within half an hour, I arrived at the Shangri La hotel and all eyes were on me as I entered. 

I took the elevator royally ignoring all and straight to her suite. 

I pressed the bell and within a few seconds the door opened revealing my goddess covered in a blanket looking so beautiful even though she looked pale. 

She was surprised to see me and moved away letting me in. 

"Why are you here?" She asked as she closed the door and I lifted the bag. "Aww the soup....... Thank you so much...... I really needed one so badly. " 

She said and snatched the bag from me and moved to the kitchen and poured herself some of the soup. 

She moaned with each sip totally oblivious of my presence in the room and this made my pants tighten. 

She stopped and looked up with widened eyes as the realization hit her and smile sheepishly. 

"You will soon be mine. " I thought as I looked at Maya who was looking so embarrassed and was definitely wishing the earth will open and swallow her up.
