Chapter 2

The next day, Mimi and Nora were out to the ice cream shop like she promised her beautiful niece and Nora was delighted about it but was sad her mother couldn't came because she had to stay and clean the apartment. 

Mimi watched her niece looking around curiously as they walked down the street but something caught her sharp and observant eyes.

Behind them was a black SUV car that stopped and then followed them after them again everything three to four blocks. 

She knew something was up and quickly scooped Nora into her arms and started walking briskly making little Nora giggle as she bounced in her aunt's arms not knowing they were being followed and possibly in danger. 

The car speed up as they walked and Mimi finally had no doubt, they were following them and she started running and the black SUV sped up and halted right in front of them with Mimi holding onto Nora and hyperventilating from all the running as she was now surrounded by bulky men in black suits, wearing dark sunglasses with ear phones. 

"Stay away from us or else I will call the police. " Mimi threatened but one could feel the fear in her voice but none of the men listened and by passers just looked on with some recording. 

Mimi heard an in distant chatter and turned to find one of the man behind the others talking to someone and he nodded to the others and the next thing Mimi was she and a now crying Nora being pulled gently into one of the SUV as she yelled out for help to no one interfered. 

The SUV drove off as Mimi rocked a crying Nora to console her. 

She took her phone to call 911 when one of the men spoke. 

"Miss Jackson, don't bother, because they won't help you and don't worry......... We are here to protect you and little boss here. " He said pointing to Nora who was by now hicupping because of too much crying and Mimi looked at him baffled. 

"Who the hell are you and how do you know my name? " Mimi asked in anger glaring at the man. 

"We are your security service and don't worry because we are not here to hurt you but protect you and little boss here Miss Jackson. " 

Even though the man spoke gently with them,she still couldn't trust him but new arguing with be useless therefore she kept quiet and concentrated on Nora as the drove on and started formulating a plan for them to escape. 

At the apartment, Maya stopped cleaning after a cold chill run down her spine and her motherly instinct immediately sensed something was wrong. 

She immediately put down her cleaning cloth and bolted to the door but her breath hitched when she opened the door only to slam into a hard chest. 

She looked up to yell aw to the person but the words disappeared seeing the person. 

It was none other than the mighty billionaire David Gandy. 

The man whom made her believe in love again only to snatch it away from her. 

The man who bet on her love and was planning on throwing her away as if she didn't matter and their two years together didn't mean anything to him. 

The man she wanted so bad to curse but couldn't because he gave her the best thing that ever happened to her and that was her baby Nora. 

David on the other hand looked at the woman in front of her with joy. 

Oh how she missed her and he wanted so bad to hug and make wild and passionate love to her like he use to in the past until she disappeared on him. 

The only woman whom he was willing to leave his playboy lifestyle behind for. 

His love, his life and his reason to believe in love again but he was pissed and needed answers for what she did. 

No matter how much he wanted to hate her for leaving, he just couldn't do it. 

"Hi Maya! " 

Maya's reverie broke and was about to close the door but David's six feet five and two hundred pounds of pure muscles and lean fat was no match for her as he pushed himself into the apartment. 

"Get out. " Maya yelled at him pointing to the door. 

David got angry seeing her yelling at him and harshly held her arms and slammed her against the door closing it in the process. 

"You have no right to yell at me because I should be the one yelling..... I should be the angry on you for leaving me and for so many reasons...... I not you. " David yelled back pissing Maya off and she gathered all her strength and push him off her nearly making him stumble. 

"You have some nerve trying to play the victim.... You used me and except me to still stay with you and be the obedient sex slave while you were out there bedding your whores...... No Mr Gandy...... I will not because I  not some desperate woman but I don't blame you,I blame myself...... I knew of your reputation but I thought to give you a benefit of a doubt which was the biggest mistake of my life but no more....... Now leave and don't ever come back again. " Maya cried out as tears streamed down her cheeks while David looked on in shock and confusion. 

He moved closer to touch her but Maya moved backwards to avoid his touch. 

"Maya am sorry for yelling at you but I was mad because you left...... How could you leave me like that...... Was my love not enough. " David uttered in a soft and lovely voice but Maya scoffed. " I know I didn't say it much but I do love you Maya Morganza. " 

Maya fumed hearing this and if it had been six years ago, she would have melted but she was no longer the fool she was in the past anymore. 

"You don't love me David...... It was all a joke to you........ You are a scam and a joke to be saying you love me.......BECAUSE HOW CAN YOU LOVE YOUR BET!? " Maya yelled out making David's eyes widened in shock.
