48. Traitor Or Savior

"Retreat!"

Jack's scream made all the werewolf troops retreat from the battle arena, leaving behind the remains of the corpses and only a few members of the vampire group. Jack stared at Angel briefly before turning back into a wolf and running towards his pack.

Angel still seemed to be standing with tears streaming down his eyes, looking at Erick's body which was surrounded by the remains of the living vampires. His body was shaking, with painful pain in his chest, especially when he heard the screams of one of the vampires.

"His Majesty the king is dead!"

"Impossible!" Angel shook her head vigorously, without even realizing that her legs weakened to the point where they couldn't support her body weight. She sat on the ground with all her limbs shaking violently.

"Your Majesty, you must revive the king," said one of the vampires.

"She's a traitor!" shouted Rose, who seemed to move to sit up with a weak body. "She killed Erick!"

"No!" Angel continued to shake her head vigorously,
