"I'm heading over to the hall now. Would you like to join me?" Perry decided to invite Ariel to come along after hesitating for a moment.

Ariel paused briefly. Since the shuttle bus that Perry arranged for had arrived, Ariel went ahead and accepted his offer.

"Sure." She boarded the bus first.

Perry noticed that Ariel had been looking at her phone after she got on the bus.

After a moment's consideration, he chose to sit in the row behind Ariel instead of next to her.

He knew Ariel was mindful of her personal space. Perry didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way.

Ariel knew it would take several minutes for them to reach the place where the hall was.

She glanced over her shoulder at Perry and asked, "Do you mind me asking if Mr. Spencer has already started working at the hospital?"
