Suspicions Often Are True

“Holy shit!” Jean exclaimed in pure shock.

“Sebastian proposed to you?”

I waddle my fingers with pride, showing off the beautiful ring that Sebastian gave to me last night.

“I wasn't actually expecting for something like this. Honestly I was sure a simple apology, hug and kisses would do the trick,” I reply, admiring the beautiful metal with what seems to exhibit its diamond stone.

“You mean Sebastian shouted at you for being careless and in exchange, a way to make it up to you, he proposed to you?” There's a slight perplexity in the way she let these words out—something I don't bother giving much of an attention to because I poured all of my notice to the ring.

“Yup.” I smile.

“And you said yes?”

“Who wouldn't?”

“That’s not much of a good trade,” Jean suddenly says. I glue a judging stare at her as I try to process what she actually means.
