CHAPTER 25: TOO LATE

DENVER sat down at Sandra's bed. He can't find her around the house. He rested for a while then he got back on his feet and left the room. As he steps outside the house it is already dark. He calmed himself and entered their house again.

"I'm sure she just went to something important. She'll be back, of course. She'll be home."

After he calmed himself, he went to the kitchen and decided to prepare something to eat. He prepared steak and vegetable salad. He decided to stay up until midnight. He distracted himself by watching movies and documentaries. He almost slept then he realized it was already 2 o'clock.

'Why isn't she home yet? Where did she go? What did take her too long?'

He tried to call her. For the first time he will call her, in this situation. It makes him realize how does Sandra feel about waiting for him until late in the evening. It makes him anxious because of knowing nothing.
