The Ambush

I ran on all fours, trying to gain speed. Dashing through the forest like an animal. I had transformed under the fool moon but still under control of my mind. What is happening? I was surprised and at the same time worried about Grace. This was a first for me.

Normally, I’d run wild in the forest until dawn. But today, it was barely even midnight but I was in control of my mind. My face has less lit up in surprise but yet my heart was still worried.

I had began to wonder how these rogues knew about Grace. So that must mean this ambush was all a distraction in pursuit of something bigger. My eyes lit brightly on realization. These guys and whoever was trying to kill Grace were all sent by who laid this curse on me. And such a person must’ve found out that Grace was my fated mate and the only person able to cure my curse.

I was ten minutes away from the castle, waiting to hear Grace’s voice through the link but to no avail. I arrived at my palace, watching as chaos broke down. E
