Raina's point of view

I stepped out of the bar and saw Commander Leonardo mounting his horse, ready to leave.

"Don't you have a car?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

"Have you seen any cars since you arrived here?" he retorted, before spurring his horse into a gentle trot.

I stood there, lost in thought, replaying our conversation. Suddenly, a realization hit me - Alpha Darian hadn't mentioned where I would be spending the night.

Panic set in as I remembered the lack of preparations.

"Commander Leonardo!" I shouted, sprinting after him.

He didn't hear me at first, but after a few calls, he reined in his horse.

"Alpha Darian didn't make any arrangements for my accommodations," I explained, out of breath.

He raised an eyebrow. "How is that my business?"

I thought to myself, "It definitely should be, considering I'm new here and don't know where to go, especially with my life being threatened."

After all, he had warned me to be cautious and keep a low profile. I c

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 40

Raina's point of view I heard the ball rang and immediately, I was informed to come over that the new commander wanted to address all the trainees in the camp. I came outside commander Leonardo's house. I woke up this morning but I couldn't find commander Leonardo and I concluded that he must have left just as he had informed me last night. Just as I took three steps away from the door, I could see about five men running helter-skelter. My heart was racing. What could be happening? I mused. Moving out, I saw a guy who looks more like the guy that had spoken with commander Leonardo at the bar yesterday. "Please excuse me, what's happening?" I inquired from him, I'm still not sure of what's going on. He stopped at his tracks. "Haven't you heard?" he asked. "Hear what?" I asked him. "There was an announcement that the new commander wants all the trainees to gather at the training arena today by 7 am, and it's already 8." He revealed this and without waiting for me to ask any que

Raina's point of view "You need to get yourself prepared for what is to come," he told me. "And what's that?" I asked him, still feeling puzzled. "Haven't you been paying attention to all the stories that I'm telling you?" Commander Leonardo asked me. How can I possibly believe that these stories are true? Could it be possible that I come from a royal lineage? Then why didn't anyone tell me about this? For as long as I can remember, I never heard my father mention to me that he was from a royal lineage. The only thing he told me was that his parents had been in a terrible motor accident and they died, and he was taken to the orphanage home. So had he lied to me all those times? "Honestly, I'm still struggling to believe that this whole thing is true," I said, feeling overwhelmed. "Wipe away your tears," he told me. It was at that moment that I realized tears were streaming out of my eyes. He handed me a tissue for me to use to wipe my face, saying "this isn't the time for cryi

Raina's point of view He collected a white towel and cleaned his hands, then admitted, "Yeah, I know who your father is."Goodness! He knew my father? Were they friends?"You know him?" I asked incredulously."Yeah, I do," he replied with a nod. Then why had he lied to me?"You were friends?" I demanded."Kinda," he said with a shrug."But I've been asking and you were denying it_" I said." I've told you now," he told me."So, that's why you let me stay here in this training camp?" I asked, seeking clarity. " because you were friends?"He sat down on a stool facing me. "Can we talk about this some other time?"I shook my head in disapproval. "Let's talk about it now.""Raina, there's a lot you need to know, but it has to wait till the right time," he said. The look on his face told me there was more to the story. Why was everyone telling me to wait?"I've waited for too long, it's time for me to know the truth; I want to know," I pressed on."You can't handle it now," he said, shak

Raina's point of view A lot of thoughts came into my mind, including whether I should run away.Of course, if Commander Leonardo dies now, everyone would think I was the one responsible for it. I got up from where I was kneeling beside Commander Leonardo, who's still gasping for breath, and was about to leave when Lucy screamed inside my head, "What are you trying to do?" "Don't you see he's gasping for breath?" I asked back, frightened. "If he eventually dies, what will I tell the authorities?" "Are you going to leave him just like this?" she screamed, feeling really disgusted. But there's obviously nothing I could do, since he isn't even able to talk. "There's nothing I can do," I told her frantically. "Do something, Raina, do something!" she screamed. I'm not a doctor, nor am I a nurse; how can I help him? "What do you expect me to do?" I demanded. "Is this how to repay someone who just saved your life?" she quarreled. "You're just going to leave him here like this? That'

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 35

Raina's point of view My heartbeat raced a thousand times faster than it usually does, seeing the rays of light from the knife. Was this my end? "You shouldn't have done that," he snarled. "I'll make you regret this in the grave!" He growled and held me by the neck. Despite the fact that I'm plus-sized, the man raised me up, my feet leaving the ground, and I was mid-air, struggling for my life. He held me tightly by the neck, and I used my hands to hit his hands, but I was getting exhausted, and I could imagine myself passing out right at this moment. "Just do me one favor, help me send my regards to my dead father," he said in a mocking tone, and at that point, my eyesight started becoming blurry. It's obvious Dorian brought me here with the intention of killing me. Would I be given a second chance at life? I've always heard of it, and I wish the same opportunity would be given to me so that I'll have the chance to take revenge.Just as I was about to breathe my last, a sudden
