Chapter 16: Burn and Torch

Joshua came in through the door of his mansion. He sat down on the sofa and tilted his head backward. He was rubbing his inner eyebrows together. He was thinking back to that night. If only he didn’t have done that then maybe then they wouldn’t have turned out like this. They wouldn't been like this. There wouldn't be this string between them. The hatred. The misunderstanding.

Joshua sighed at his foolisness. He only did what he did was because he wanted to break away from Emily. He should have done it in a nicer and calmer way instead of forcing her to leave that way. But knowing how much she loved him, he knew that she wouldn’t let him go. If he didn’t use some sort of deceiving ways to conveience her, then she wouldn't be so hurt. Now it’s all coming back to bit him in the ass.

“Oh, look, Joshua is back,” said Vicky.

Joshua didn’t look at his mother. How disappointed his mother was going to be when she hears he didn’t seal the deal.

“Oh, what’s wrong son?” asked Vicky.

Joshua sighe
