Olivia

Sebastian’s eyes crinkled as a devilishly hot grin stretched across his face. “Let’s just say his Rhodium was made of sand.”

“What?!” My lips twisted in amused disbelief, one brow rising.

He gave me a sly smile—one of those deadly ones that sent a cold chill skittering down my spine and a slow flame curling through my chest.

“Yeah,” he said, arms crossing casually. “Sand. Enclosed in small cases, spray-painted to look real. Heavy enough to pass for gold if you don’t look too closely—you’d never know. But Phillip and Kaylee should’ve figured it out by now.”

He stepped closer, brushing a strand of hair from my face and tucking it gently behind my ear. His touch lingered like he couldn’t help himself.

“I want you to give Kaylee space,” he murmured, voice low and firm. “I don’t want her coming over again. She could do something... bad to you.”

His concern sank into my chest like warm syrup. “Okay.”

“You promise?”

“Yes.” I wasn’t even sure what I was agreeing to anymore. He kept mov

SebastianMy family’s company towered before me, all bedazzled glam, glassy elegance, and a kind of tall, showy arrogance that made my jaw twitch. It looked exactly like the people who ran it—polished on the outside, rotten underneath. I adjusted my sunglasses, the sunlight bouncing off the chrome exterior like it was trying to blind me into submission, and walked in.I rarely came here. Hell, I avoided this place like a disease. But after that stunt my old man pulled at the café the other day, I had no choice but to hunt him down. The moment I stepped through the doors, it was like time paused. Every head turned. People greeted me politely—too politely. My father’s personal assistant showed up almost instantly, practically jittering like a leaf. His face was pale, a sheen of sweat ghosting across his skin like fear had become a permanent part of him.I arched a brow at that. Something was off. But I said nothing. I just followed him, my boots thudding with deliberate calm as we enter

Kaylee"Philip?" I called out, pushing the door to his room open. It was dark inside, the air heavy and stale—thick with the sharp sting of old liquor and something far worse… hopelessness."Philip!" I called again, stepping further in, eyes adjusting to the gloom. Damn, that failed Rhodium heist really did a number on him. It's been weeks already, and he's still like this—wallowing like a tragic side character in someone else's story.I hadn’t exactly moved on from what happened either, but at least I hadn’t trapped myself in a house that smelled like a bar and a rotting crime scene. He was sprawled across the bed, half-buried in a grave of empty bottles. The mattress sagged under his weight and his filth. He looked disgusting—and the stench rising from his body could’ve peeled paint."Get out!" he slurred from beneath a tangle of covers that hadn’t seen a wash in forever. Why do I even bother again? I certainly wasn't supposed to be here after this moron accused me of being a snitch

Olivia "Olivia, run! Get out while you still can!!"Sebastian’s robe was stained with blood from the gash on his side. He lay on the ground, bleeding from his mouth—a horrific sight that made my heart stop, cold and sharp like someone had yanked it out of my chest."I won't leave you!" I cried, clutching his hand tightly, my fingers trembling against his."You… have… to… Olivia. I need you to go, please, my love." His voice was barely above a whisper, raspy and raw like it hurt him to speak.I sobbed, my chest caving in with each painful breath. The entire place was on fire—flames roared like beasts around us, devouring everything. Broken pieces of furniture were scattered and debris flew freely. The air was thick, choking, suffocating."Please… please… we can make it. Just let me help you!" I begged, desperation cracking my voice. I tried to lift him, but he was too heavy. His weight was deadening, and the fire was inching closer, licking at our feet like it was determined to pull u

OliviaI chuckled, scratching the back of my neck.“Oh! This? God, it’s actually kind of insane. I went to this exclusive chromatherapy spa in the Upper East Side—you know, one of those weird holistic places that charge a fortune to dip you in flower water and call it healing—and they convinced me to try this experimental gemstone-infused hair mist. Supposedly enhances aura flow or whatever.”I rolled my eyes and let out a nervous laugh.“I thought it was just a light gloss treatment, but apparently the rubies were not color-safe. I didn’t even notice until I got into the car and saw my reflection in the windshield. Like—surprise! So…yeah…”That should be believing enough right? Who was I kidding? Even a seven-year-old wouldn’t fall for this bullshit. He raised a brow, skeptical. His sharp gaze narrowed slightly, silently calling me out. “Really?”There it was. That calm-before-the-storm voice. He was onto me.“Something weird happened today,” he said slowly, eyeing me the way a hunte

OliviaThe split second of silent awe before the cameras clicked always filled me with power—a raw, intoxicating sense of belonging and control. That pause right before the chaos? It reminded me that I could evoke a reaction this massive just by doing what I love.My steady, rhythmic steps were confident—each one echoing on the marble beneath my heels. The lights blazed hot and bright, the cameras flashing nonstop, the strobes practically branding my skin with every step I took. When I started this, my heart used to pound so violently, I thought it might burst out of my chest. But now? Now I was the pulse of the runway itself. I didn’t just walk it—I owned it.I twirled gracefully, showing off the signature Éclat Rue two-piece Luminari i had on. It was stunning. Bold. Tailored to perfection. And the crowd? They lost their minds. I didn’t know a bunch of high-fashion daddy snobs could cheer like drunk teenage schoolgirls, but here we were. Most newbie models were stiff as cardboard—fac

SebastianThe next day was hectic, as I had a lot of rallying around and PR management control concerning the city’s newest acquisition. Finally settling back in my office, I leaned back in my chair, letting out a slow breath. The walls felt too tight. My mind wandered—no, fled—to my wife. The way she’d lit up with excitement when I told her we’d spend the day together—it warmed something in me. That light in her eyes, that unfiltered joy… damn, it had a chokehold on me. She always acted like a child around me, and I liked that about her. The way she trusted me with her whole heart. The way she looked at me like I was her safe place.Still, the weight of what I was hiding pressed on my chest.I felt bad for lying to Olivia. Really bad. I planned to tell her the truth—just not yet. I couldn’t—not until I figured a way out of the Society. That effort, by the way, was still fruitless. A damn dead end at every turn. But I wasn’t going to let that pull me down. I clung to every moment I go
