Yulia's hands wouldn't stop trembling, the last thing she remembered was being thrown out of the Grand Palais, into the cold night and her phone vibrating in her palm. The doctor's voice was calm and detached.

Now the smell of the antiseptic clung to her clothes, bitter and suffocating. The sharp beeping of the heart monitor echoed in her skull, a reminder of how fragile he was. Franklin lay there— pale, not moving, his forehead head wrapped in white gauze.

She had stared at him for long memorising the shape of his still face before facing the doctor.

"Doctor," she begged the doctor. "Please keep him alive till I come back."

"Without a donor and the payment, I'm sorry, it's not in my hands." The doctor's voice had been calm and cold at the same time.

Her throat tightened, she had no idea where to go, who to call.Thalia had denied her in front of the world. Delilah had cut all ties with Franklin years ago. Her so-called friends are gone. And her own mother stopped picking her

George’s fingers traced the inside of Thalia’s thigh slowly. “George, let's eat and have a dance, please…“Sssssh..”“George…” she called, her voice trembling, her nails digging into the polished wood of the table. He smirked, leaning closer, his lips brushing against her ear. “Do you know what I’ve been thinking about since you walked out in that dress tonight?”She swallowed, her body arching instinctively toward his touch. “W-what?”His hand slid higher, dangerously close, yet refusing to touch her where she needed him the most. His mouth curved into that dangerous grin that made her legs shake.“How sweet you’d taste spread open for me. Right here. On this table.”“George, I have shoots tomorrow and a party to attend, I won't be able to walk…”Her breath hitched, her thighs clamping together in anticipation betraying her words. But George wasn’t asking—he was already tugging her hips closer, pulling her toward the edge of the table easily. His chair screeched back as he went to

Thalia adjusted the strap of her dress one last time in front of the mirror, her reflection staring back at her with a softness she almost didn’t recognize. The short pink gown hugged her figure delicately, the silk fabric catching the glow of the bedside lamp and the color made her skin look brighter, she slipped her feet into nude heels, slim and sleek, and reached for her clutch. The house was quiet. The twins were asleep, their small breaths a faint symphony in the background of her thoughts. For once, she didn’t have to worry about little feet following her down the stairs or tiny voices calling her name. Tonight, it was just her and George. She inhaled slowly, reminding herself she had the right to smile, the right to be happy with the man she loves and who loves her back.George was waiting by the front door, dressed in a crisp navy suit. The shirt beneath was unbuttoned at the throat, leaving him casual yet effortlessly elegant. His hair, usually unruly from chasing the kids a

Rosy entered the car, closing the door softly behind her. The familiar leather scent mixed with Orion’s cologne wrapped around her, tugging at something deep inside her chest. She hadn’t been this close to him for hours, and even though she tried to keep her composure, her heartbeat betrayed her, racing in a way she couldn’t control.Orion didn’t start the car immediately. He just sat there, his eyes on her, his expression unreadable but his gaze intense enough to make her shift slightly in her seat.“You look pretty,”he said and she chuckled. Then, without warning, he reached for her hand, his larger fingers curling around hers before bringing it to his lips to kiss.“I missed you,” he murmured against her skin, the warmth of his breath making her shiver. Her lips curved into a small smile, soft and hesitant. “Me too,” she whispered, and those two words seemed to carry everything they hadn’t said all these years. They leaned toward each other almost instinctively, as though their bo

Delilah had been standing outside his room for so long that her legs ached. Franklin had locked himself in the room for almost five hours and she was worried about him.“Frank,” she called softly, her voice low, sounding tired. “Open up, son.”She had lost count of how many times she had said those words. Franklin hadn’t come out, not even for water. She knew he was inside, she could hear faint movements sometimes, the shuffle of footsteps, the restless pacing, but he didn’t answer.Delilah sighed, pressing her forehead against the door. Her hair brushed the glass as she closed her eyes. She wanted to knock harder, to demand, to order him to open, but she couldn’t. He wasn’t just her son anymore, he was a grown man with wounds she couldn’t force her way into.“Frank, please,” her voice cracked, but she bit down on her lower lip before tears could follow. For a moment there was nothing. Then, just as she turned to leave, the door clicked open slowly.Delilah stepped back quickly, sur

The ride home from the mall was unusually quiet. Outside the tinted glass of the black SUV, Paris shimmered under a soft glow—late afternoon, golden sunlight spilling onto wide boulevards, reflecting off polished shopfronts. But inside the car, the air felt heavy, thickened with unspoken things. Thalia sat with Tracey tucked against her side, the little girl busy swinging her legs as she stared at her twin brother across from her. George was beside Jay, his hand resting protectively on his son’s small shoulder. The bodyguards’ car followed behind, stacked with the shopping bags and boxes that had been bought that afternoon. Tracey leaned forward suddenly, poking her tongue at Jay like she always did when she wanted to annoy him. Her big eyes glinted mischievously, but there was a shadow of satisfaction in them too. “I'm happy, Jewel's mother did that, at least that would separate Jay from Jewel.” she said inwardly. Jay’s brows pinched together. He didn’t respond, not this time.

For a good thirty minutes George didn’t move. He just held her there, his body still pressed into hers, cock still buried inside her, both of them trembling in the aftermath of their release. The mirror was fogged, streaked slightly where her back had slid against it, a silent witness to everything they had done.“You always look so sexy anytime you come for me,” he whispered.Thalia let her head rest on his shoulder, her lips brushing against his collarbone as she whispered back, “You ruined my lingerie.”George chuckled, still breathless, pressing a kiss into her hair.“I’ll buy you a thousand more.”“You're not serious,”Her laugh was soft, almost weak, but filled with warmth. She drew back slightly, her hand cupping his cheek, thumb tracing the line of his jaw. “I love you,”His eyes softened at the tenderness in her gaze, and for a second the world outside disappeared.“I love you more and more,”she replied, her eyes watery. He kissed her again, slowly this time, savoring the ta
