Chapter 48

Jane's POV

"Wow. You look beautiful," Cedric said, looking at me up and down before he walked up and bent down to kiss my cheek. He handed me a single red rose and I felt my heart melt from the gesture.

"Awww, thank you," I said to him with a shy smile, hesitantly taking the rose. He slid his hand into mine, leading me towards the parking lot. Holding his hand made my heart beat a little faster and I smiled up at him and he smiled back.

My mind couldn't help but wander to the argument Adrian and I had. I'm still annoyed and angry at this audacity, Cedric has been nothing but good to me and for him to think he would was just mind-blowing. I was really hurt when he said I'm dumb.

He led me over to a motorcycle and picked up a helmet

that was on its seat, and held it out to me.
