Chapter 12: The Interview

Patricia turned on the recorder before she starts the interview. Catarina, Don Lorenzo's youngest daughter, is one of the activists calling for change. She hates to admit it, but Catarina had influenced numerous people to participate in specific campaigns.

"Let's start with your introducing yourself," Patricia trailed as she stares at the paper in front of her.

"Catarina Lorenzo, youngest daughter of Don Lorenzo. Law student."

"Direct to the point. Why did you become an activist yourself? Are there any reasons or specific happenings which made you turn this way?"

"I am aware that my Dad has been very active in illegal activities in the past, but I'm different. I wanted fairness in this country. The reason why I pursue law was not to influence or manipulate the truth. But to speak for the people whose voices were stolen from them."

Patricia won't deny that Catarina's answer is on point. She admires her for that, but she still doesn't fully trust her. It could be a facade.
