Savior

"How did you know we're here?" I asked Montero who sat on a red sofa in the club's vip area, sipping on wine.

He let out a breathy laugh like it was a nonsensical question. "A father always knows where his children are."

My jaw clenched, and hands fisted in anger. "You call yourself a father? A father doesn't make his children's lives a living hell," I snapped. I didn't plan to anger him anymore than he already was, but he made it impossible for me to resist. 

"Hell?" he questioned, eyebrows raised and stood up. "You think this is hell? Silly girl, this is just warming up." His arms raised in exaggeration as he turned his back on me. "What did you think? I was losing those deals because I wasn't capable? Oh, no. I was only preparing you for the ultimate task."

I frowned, my breathing slowing down. A new fear settled in my heart. What was he talking about? What could be bigger than all these sin I already commit
