I nodded, my backpack slipping off my shoulder and falling on the marble floor with a thud. Following it, I slid against the door, cocooning myself into a ball. I was exhausted, so much I lacked the mere energy to lift my eyelids and take a look at the new inferno I had casted myself into. Not that I had not fought, because I did. I called a couple more personnels, literally begging them, but no one gutted enough to embroil with the Kingstons.
So, once again, I was left with no more choices...
