Jordan POV. After the run, I expected to be done for the day, but that wasn't alpha Balde's plan, after kicking his ass in running, it's time to shower? Breakfast maybe? Micah POV. I saw Jordan's back, he got hurt, almost always someone gets hurt during these drills, most days it's me, but now seeing Jordan's back was all scratched with blood coming out of his injuries, I wanted to fuss over him, fuss over his injuries, to make sure he's okay, but I couldn't do that, not with dad around here. I stayed back when dad said to go on again, take off the shirt, I finally healed from the sunburns, but I'm in for some new injuries, I didn't want to make an idiot out of me in front of my mate, I'll be pushing myself to the max. "Let's go, let's go!" dad calls again, I wanted to groan, I didn't want to go again, the torture would keep going for another hour or two, if he's feeling merciful, he'd let us go in an hour with minimal injuries. Another turn with the drills, I was ready to go back on, I want to stay on good terms with the alpha, I don't want to fight with him, I needed to be able to take Micah back home with me, when I saw Joshua touching him, I had to pull myself, hold myself and not jump and bite his head off, I was ready to kill him. I got the pain killers and went back to my room, checking on Micah he had his eyes closed, and his breathing was even, but he wasn't asleep, he was pushing the pain away, it's similar to meditation, deep breaths, stable heartbeat, ignoring the pain. Micah POV. I shouldn't have yelled at my mate, he wants to keep me safe, but then my insecurities got in the middle, I yelled at him, I pushed him away, and now I'm paying the price, it's not my knee that hurt now, it's my heart that's aching, it's my wolf who's screaming for my mate to come back, to come and hold me, we're sorry for pushing him away.
