Dimitri
Dimitri held her hand and led her towards the elevator. They had just arrived at his penthouse after the disaster of a wedding and he could tell Amy was still in shock. Lev parked the SUV and checked the perimeter of the underground parking before giving them the all-clear.
He noted that she held onto his hand tightly, a sign that she wanted him to make her feel safe, a feat he knew he could carry out. But would she see the effort he would make? Time would tell. As they step into the elevator with Lev, Boris, and Alexei in tow, Dimitri input the code that would lead them to his penthouse. While the elevator ascended, he squeezed Amy’s hand and smiled at her. She looked at him and gave him a tight smile. Today’s events have left a deep impression on her. The life of a Made Man was never easy, but even more so for their wives. They get traded and kidnapped as if they were the glue holding the organized syndicate together. When th
AmyThe following morning, she woke up to a heavy arm draped across her waist and froze. Dimitri was holding her tightly and she could feel his bulge pressed against her lower back. With heat rising in her cheeks, she gently moved his arm and feels him stir next to her. Dimitri pulls her closer and slams her lightly against his solid chest. “Good morning, moye solntse.” He sighed in her ear and kissed her neck. His hand trailed slowly towards her chest where he brushed her nipple with his thumb. She gasps quietly and she could hear him chuckle.Dimitri then unwraps his arm from her and gets up. As she watched him get out of bed and stretch the sleep away, she realized he had slept naked next to her. She slipped her head lower into the comforter and blushed to the roots of her hair. When he sauntered towards his closet and angled slightly when he reached for a shirt, she peeped out from under the blanket to examine his nude form and
Amy7 pm – Amy just finished preparing supper; chicken cordon bleu along with a salad and red wine to wash it down. She set the dinner table and laid out a plate for Dimitri as well, but he said he would be home late, so she didn’t bank on him showing up for their first supper together.Just as she sat down and poured herself a glass of wine, she saw the elevator open and heard Dimitri’s rough voice to Alexei, “That will be all,” and with that Alexei nods and turned to leave. Amy got up to go greet her husband, but as she strode towards him, she saw the look in his eyes.He was livid. She had never seen him this angry before. He had a wave of calm anger about him, something she realized could not bode well for her. So, she decided to turn away from him but as she had her back to him, he said something that made her stop in her tracks, “Amaranthe, I will not have a whore parading as my wife.”
AmyAmy stretched as she stirred awake, her arm touching the empty space next to her. Why didn’t Dimitri wake her? Things have gotten reasonably better between the two of them over the past few weeks, not amazing, but better than before.Sighing, she picks up her phone from the bedside table and saw there was a text from her husband:Had to leave for work early and did not want to wake you. Today will be better than yesterday. DSmiling at his text that explained his absence, she puts the phone down after noticing the time he had sent it.3 am!She feels a chill down her spine when she realized his ‘work’ was Bratva business. Shrugging it off, she gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom. She knew life in New York would be lonesome, but she didn’t expect it to be this lonely. In her everyday life back home, she was always surrounded by people and always had someone to talk to. Yet her
DimitriDimitri bit the back of his pen. He didn’t intend on becoming that intimate with Amy when he went to look at how her training was progressing, but then he saw her in that tiny towel and he ultimately lost his senses. How did he manage to not throw her on the bed and fuck her brains out after she came from his touch alone? Normally he would not bother chasing a skirt for sex, but Amaranthe was his wife. She was different. He needed to try for her. His phone buzzed, drawing him out of his thoughts. “Yes?” he answered impatiently. His assistant answered, “Mr. Baranov, I have your father on the other line.” She says, and he grunted for her to put him through.“Papa,” he acknowledged his father with his usual endearment. He wasn’t exceptionally close to the man, but respected and feared him, nonetheless. “The Baranov Black and White Ball will be held this Saturday, Dimitri. Bring your wife along
AmyAs Saturday loomed closer, Amy was starting to become more anxious. She did not like any of the dresses in her walk-in, so she decided to go shopping alone for the first time since she moved to New York. Being nervous, she called Lizabeta for advice.“Amaranthe! How delightful to hear from you, love. I am sorry for my absence; I have been busy organizing the Black and White ball and snowed-in with work. How have you been?” her mother-in-law gushes and Amy immediately smiled. “I have been well, Mama. I’m actually calling for some guidance.” She answers honestly. She was not certain where to go shopping or what to get. Being Dimitri’s wife now, she knew she needed to look and act a certain way. “Hmm? Is my son not treating you well? Must I have a word with him?” She asks, a playful edge to her voice that caused Amy to chuckle loudly.“No, mama! Dimitri is good to me, I can assure you,&rdquo
AmyWhen they came back to the penthouse, Amy invited Anya in but said Sergei had texted her and wanted her to come home instantly. Something happened, and the discontent brewing was building to a peak. He wanted Anya to be safe at home. “See you Saturday, Ran-Ran!” Anya called as they pulled away and Amy waved goodbye with a smile. They were still in the private parking area when her cellphone rang.It was Dimitri.Still hurt from what she learned this afternoon, she let his call go to voicemail. Mentally chastising herself, she was reminded that Dimitri had the right to have his needs fulfilled elsewhere, for she had given him permission on their wedding night. As soon as they were in the elevator, Alexei’s cellphone rings, “Boss,” he addressed, and a few moments later turned to her and gave her the phone.Amy sighs and answers, “Dimitri,” she greeted him blandly. It was not his fault that he wa
AmyAmy awoke to Dimitri trailing his thumb down her back, the previous night still vivid in her mind. With a smile spreading across her face, she lazily angles to face him but feels a dull twinge in her lower regions. “Ow,” she groans, and Dimitri sat up, a guilty grimace appearing on his face. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m sure it’s normal.” Amy says before he started fussing over nothing. She strokes his cheek where the bullet grazed his face and he smiles, bringing her closer to him. “Good morning,” she says, sleep lacing her tone. Settling her head down on his chest, Dimitri kissed her hair and grins, “Are you certain you’re feeling okay, Amaranthe?” he asked her, his voice still interwoven with concern and she nods while snuggling further into his embrace. “I promise I’m okay. I’ll take another Advil after breakfast if that will make you feel better?” she replies, try
AmyAmy opens her eyes and struggles to focus her eyesight. Alexei was standing by the bed and she immediately thought that was odd; Dimitri would never allow him to stand by her bed. “Alexei?” she calls faintly, her throat parched. Alexei heads over to her, a look of concern in his eyes. “Amaranthe,” he calls out and flies to her, placing a palm lightly on her shoulder. She frowns at his reaction, then she glances around the room and froze. She was not in the penthouse; this was a hospital room. Sitting up in bed, she gestures to Alexei for a glass of water and inhales it completely while searching around the room. “What happened, Alexei?” she eventually asks as he takes the glass from her. He steps over to her bedside and leans down, “It seems you had a massive anxiety attack, Amaranthe. You’ve been here since yesterday evening.” He explained to her, and the image came back of her clasping her che
