Dimitri held her hand and led her towards the elevator. They had just arrived at his penthouse after the disaster of a wedding and he could tell Amy was still in shock. Lev parked the SUV and checked the perimeter of the underground parking before giving them the all-clear.

He noted that she held onto his hand tightly, a sign that she wanted him to make her feel safe, a feat he knew he could carry out. But would she see the effort he would make? Time would tell. As they step into the elevator with Lev, Boris, and Alexei in tow, Dimitri input the code that would lead them to his penthouse.
