Chapter – 33

Reyna contemplated approaching the beast. He now slumped in the center of the room, where once her chair sat. His breath came in short pants mixed with growls and grumbles.

The shadow of her father-in-law hovered over the crystal as if he could sense his son’s mood. She then remembered this was an enchanted room and the memory was unlocked by Aluxious’ blood. It must have got something to do with their blood connection.

She sauntered toward him and placed a hand on his furry shoulder. Aluxious didn’t move. She knelt beside him only to be scooped in his paws. A sigh slipped out of her when he rested his chin on top of her head. His fur receded into his body leaving him in his human form.

A few minutes passed before he growled, “Continue!”
