Chapter Seven..

Luca nods and gently shifts me back onto the seat.

He fixes his shirt, exits the car, and whispers something into Callums' ear before helping me out of the ‘Beast’.

I look at Callum, whose face is as passive as always.“Thank you, Callum." I say with a smile.

“Miss. Maddison, it's a pleasure as always. Have a good night.” I nod at his response and feel Lucas' hand rest on the small of my back.

I look up at Luca as we approach the house. “What did you say to Callum?” I ask.

“I told him that I won’t be needing him for a few hours, so he was free to do as he pleases.” We reach the top step, I pull out the keys and open the door.

“After you, sir.” I whisper as I hold the door open for him. “Would you like something to drink?” I ask as I close the door behind me.

“Not thirsty, more famished, tesoro.” I feel the heat of his body behind me.

I lean into him and feel his warmth envelop me.

“I want you to take me to your room, Vanessa.” His breath tickles my neck before he takes my ear
