Rudolph

"DIANA ROSE GARD," Rudolph lied, causing the King to raise a brow but nodded in acceptance nonetheless.

"Why are you on my land?"

Rudolph explained everything that happened, making sure his account of the events matched Diana's. He mentally pictured Diana patting his head and bit back a smile. He loved making her proud.

He was used to lying after doing it for two years. He never felt bad about it as he would do anything to keep Diana safe.

He could never forget the details of Diana's fabricated story much less her name, not after she made him recite it twenty times.

He shivered at the thought.

That was the worst week of his life. The result was that he could now tell her fake story even in his sleep.

Her real story was huge, bigger than anything he had heard in his life but he was grateful she told him. Even though he could die just for knowing it.

"Show them two rooms on the second floor and have Lacey give them a change of clothes. They will join me for dinner tonight.

"Do not let them be late," The King announced causing the guards and council members' jaws to drop literally.

Rudolph would have laughed if he was not so scared.

"But, your Highness, the second floor is-" a man standing close to the King started but was cut off by the powerful glare the King sent his way.

The glare was not directed to Rudolph but he was startled by the intensity. It almost rivaled Diana's glare and Diana was the scariest person he knew. He knew that from experience.

"Interrupt me again, Richard, and I will forget you are my special adviser."

Rudolph shivered at the coldness of the threat carelessly thrown to Richard who looked even paler than pale which almost looked white as Richard was a Vampire.

"My apologies, your Highness," Richard muttered but not before glaring at Rudolph who already turned on his heels and began walking back to Diana who immediately pulled him to her side.

He never complained about her protectiveness he relished in it. After five years of being on his own, he could not help but attach himself to the first person who cared about him.

At first, she was cold to him like how she was with everyone else but he followed her around like a lost puppy.

When he helped her after a breakdown, she let him in and they had never been apart since then. They were all each other had after all.

"You okay?" Diana asked worriedly, pulling him from his thoughts and he nodded with a smile.

She was always protecting him and he never complained. He understood that it was in her nature to be protective and her wolf had taken a liking to him. He loved her too.

The guard from before began leading them out of the judgement Hall as Rudolph caught Diana staring at the King curiously.

He nudged her, bringing her attention back to him and shot her a questioning look to which she shook her head.

"You two can take the two rooms at the end of the hall. Lacey will be there shortly with clothes," the guard said and Rudolph shot Diana a concerned glance.

For Rudolph's unspoken request, Diana requested the guards let them stay in one room and the guards agreed to Rudolph's relief.

It was not the first time they were staying together and it certainly would not be the last.

Rudolph looked around the room while Diana took shower. Despite her protests, he let her go first, knowing she needed it more than him.

Rudolph's eyes widened as the took in the fanciness of the room. It was wide and screamed expensive with furniture that cost more than he had ever made in his entire life.

There was a huge king size bed with red curtains hanging from the canopy over the bed. His hands itched to touch the shiny things he saw but he controlled himself.

The last thing he wanted was to get Diana in trouble because he could not resist taking things.

Diana came out, dressed in the clothes a woman gave her. Water dripped from her black hair, wetting the black shirt she wore. Swiftly, she scanned the room for threats again before laying on the bed.

"It's just you and I in here, Ana," he teased with a playful grin on his face.

"You can never be too safe," she said and he mouthed the words at the same time she did.

Diana immediately send him a glare that would send a grown-up man running for the hills but Rudolph rolled his eyes, which in turn made her smack his head.

"Hey!" He exclaimed childishly and she ruffled his head.

"Go shower, you stink," she ordered bluntly causing Rudolph to pout.

Diana was only two years older than him but she treated him like a little brother. Rolling his eyes again, Rudolph stomped to the bathroom and came out ten minutes later, looking and feeling better.

"You think the King has something else in mind for letting us stay?" Rudolph asked after they had both settled down.

Currently, she was sprawled across the bed with her head on his chest, letting his heartbeat soothe her.

"We are not staying to find out." That was all she said before falling asleep for the first time in two days.

Rudolph kissed her forehead and pulled the covers over them. She worried him so much. Most of the time, she would ignore her needs and health, to ensure that he was fine.

She would keep watch over him without rest until she would be certain he was fine. He knew she had been worn out and it would not take long for her to break down and he had to intervene before she did.

She would be mad at him when she woke up but it was for her good. After all, it was not often that he used his powers to make her fall asleep.

Diana DEEP IN HER thoughts, Diana did not realise that Sia had finished, and was now standing in front of her. "By the gods!" Diana exclaimed in astonishment as she took in the sight of her now imprinted friend. Unrecognisable words were tattooed all over the visible parts of her body except her face. "Does it look that bad?" Sia asked shyly. Diana quickly shook her head. "Of course, not! You look fierce, powerful and just as beautiful as you have always been." Sia looked at Diana with a timid smile on her face. "Thank you, Diana." "Do you feel any different? Does it hurt?" Diana asked. "It only tingled for some time and then nothing," Sia responded with a shrug. "And the book? The spells?" Diana asked again. "The book is gone now, and the spells…" Sia pointed to her head. "It's all in here." "That's perfect. Now, let us go back to the field and wait for Gary and Corbin. Gary expects that I have the Crown and you have the book. "But things have changed and those l

Diana "FOR THOSE OF you who have not met her, let me introduce you to Princess Diana Moonshine, daughter of the late King Dillon Moonshine. "She used to be the leader of the strategic team before she left. Now that she is back, she will continue to be the leader. "Stephan here will assist you, Diana," Aiden said, pointing to a man standing near Richard. Stephan stretched out his hand for a handshake, to which Diana took, immediately feeling his cold hands, and shook it. He held her hand for much longer than she would have liked. But she did not have to do anything because Aiden cleared his throat while glaring at Stephan. Diana pulled her hand back and turned to face Aiden. "What is going on, Your Highness?" "Less than an hour ago, I got a call from King Marse. His kingdom was hit by the Evolution. "He did not get enough time to call other kingdoms for backup before they were defeated. The same thing happened with King Fredrick. "We have lost the support of two kingdoms

Diana "I KNOW YOU may not believe me, so I want to show you something," Aiden said, then began taking off his shirt. "What are you doing?!" Diana asked in a high pitched voice. When she caught sight of his torso, Diana became tongue-tied. On his body was a beautifully drawn image of her Wolf form. Every little detail was perfect. The colour on her, and the golden markings, it was all there. She blurted out the first thing on her mind. "Wow, you actually did it. You got a tattoo." "Yes, and you are the only picture I want to see inked to my skin. The only one I want to see whenever I look in the mirror," Aiden responded. "It's beautiful," Diana complimented in awe, not taking her eyes off the tattoo for a moment. It felt unreal and impossible. Diana half expected to wake up at any moment and realised that all of this was a dream. Diana pulled her hands away from Aiden's view, closed her eyes, and discretely pinched herself. Opening her eyes, she half expected to wake u

Diana LATER THAT DAY, Diana was left alone with her friends. Sia had gone to meet Janessa and Ryan, while Aiden went to sort out matters concerning his kingdom. Rudolph filled Diana in about his situation with Lacey. Diana tried to understand what could be wrong with Lacey but came up with nothing after each thought. "Do you recall anything you did wrong before she became distant?" Diana asked. "No. I know for sure that I did not do anything wrong," Rudolph responded. "Then what could be the issue?" Diana mused. "Trust me, I have been wondering about that since we returned from the Fay kingdom. "Since she saw me hugging Janessa, she totally cut me out. She does not even want to see me," Rudolph said with a frustrated sigh. "Okay, calm down, let me talk to her. Maybe I can get through to her," Diana suggested. Rudolph instantly perked up with a smile. "That would be a lot of help. Thank you, Ana." "But first I have to talk to Aiden. I will go to Lacey afterwards," Diana

Sia ON ARRIVING AT the border of the vampire kingdom, Diana was recognised by the guards, and they helped Sia carry her to the castle. Without saying a word to Sia, Robin took Diana from the guards and began walking to a room. Not wanting to be apart from Diana in that state, Sia followed Robin and Rudolph. After Diana had been placed on a bed, Sia and Diana's friends sat around her, staring down at her in concern. Soon, a tall man strode into the room. He moved straight to Diana's side and her friends scooted over for him to sit beside her. Sia instantly recognised the King of vampires. "Your Highness," she greeted with a bow. "Explain," he said bluntly, as he grabbed Diana's small hand in his large ones. His eyes were cold and stormy but they held warmness for the female laying on the bed Sia watched the scene in confusion, wondering what the hell was going on. She knew Diana was close to vampires but she did not realise Diana was this close to them. "Yes, Sia, pleas

Diana IT WAS NOT certain to Diana how she found herself standing face to face with Selene. She felt the glass in front of her and indeed, she was now inside the glass which was a lot bigger than she thought. She turned to Selene. "Things get weirder and weirder at each step, but it is no longer surprising." As expected, Selene smiled. "Only you would be relaxed about standing inside a mirror." Diana shrugged. "Try having two other different personalities inside you, fighting zombies for four years, and being tortured by a crazy lunatic. "I guess strange things is my new normal. It no longer seems foreign to me anymore." "About Luna, it is actually my fault. You were right, wolves are not supposed to have a separate consciousness. "I tried to keep my sickness from you but I could not stop my mind from creating another consciousness in your head. "I wanted to take her out, but it would not work. So, when I saw how harmless she was, I decided to let her stay. "This just a
