CHAPTER 4: TRAILING.

Alpha Carter took in the environment and frowned, he turned slightly and his gaze jammed with a rickety, old car parked in the corner of the mansion.

When he perceived his friend's scent, he smiled gently as they got into the backseat of the car, removing the thoughts of the car from his mind.

" Where's Derek? He isn't coming with us?" Carter asked.

" He's in the car behind us." Ian replied shortly and rested his head on the window, a silent way of telling his Alpha friend not to say anything nor disturb him anymore.

" I won't say anything anymore, I'm sure you'll regain your lost humor when we arrive our world, you never always fancied this world." Alpha Carter smiled, giving his cold face friend a nudge.

" What's there to fancy about? If it wasn't for the treaty, I'd be snapping their weak bones every seconds." Alpha Ian snarled, referring to humans.

" What's that old taxi doing over there? Are the securities sleeping?" Alpha Ian asked, looking at the rearview mirror where he could see Delilah's aunt car.

" We never know," Carter replied then changed the topic. " Louise would be on her toes, waiting for you already."

Ian immediately turned to glare at him murderously. " Stop shipping me with that silly sister of yours, having a clingy woman like her is the last thing I have on my mind, okay?"

" Call her anything you want, you'd have no choice at last. I can't wait to be in-law with you" Carter laughed.

" Carter!" Ian growled and the latter chuckled deeply again.

" Don't you think it's high time you also went in search of your mate and stop disturbing me?" Ian added.

" I don't mind my mate not coming now, I might choose a mate, you know." As the Alpha was saying, his eyes were glued on the old car in the rearview mirror.

In the rickety, old car, Delilah sighed for the nth time when the cars in her front weren't moving even though she had seen different men and almost all of them entered the different models of cars already.

" What are they even waiting for?" She thought with a hiss then threw her head backwards, she knew why the sleeping medicines weren't yet taking effects on her now, they were still waiting for the right time to strike her painfully, she had taken a sleeping pill with her usual medications and she kind of feared for the reaction but she prayed it wouldn't react badly or react at all.

At the thoughts of her medications, her head shot up and she searched all through her body but no traces of them, darn!

She just remembered them lying on the small table at the center of her stuffy room, this was bad, very bad but there was no going back, she would bear whatever wants to happen to her till she returns back home.

Her emerald green eyes shone and lightened up when the first Lexus model car in the front lane moved and the others slowly followed, she was a little bit behind them so they wouldn't notice her.

She revved the car to engine but it didn't revive, again all to no avail, she had to keep hitting the engine multiple times and when it did, it released a huge amount of exhaust to her embarrassment.

" This useless and good for nothing car." She cursed, following slowly and steady behind the cars.

Her phone which was lying on her thigh vibrated and she groaned. " I thought I said not to call me for awhile." She pressed the power button hard and turned her phone off.

" I'll find out whatever you men have been hiding, you won't escape Delilah today." She smirked, ignoring the side of her heart that was telling her to retreat but Delilah was always stubborn so it was a no go area.

~~~~~~~~~~~
" What's that little birdie doing?" Alpha Ian brows was furrowed as his gaze never left the rearview mirror, Delilah's scent was all over their sensitive sense of smell but the human didn't know she was being noticed already.
She was still and already gloating in the victory of finding out some secrets and publishing it out, at least she'd get rich and enjoy her sick life till she died.
" It's a she, Alpha. A human." Derek, Alpha Ian's Beta mind-linked from the car behind them, the car he was in with the Gamma was the one Delilah was following from behind it as the other cars were in the front.
" A human?" Ian gave a wicked smirk which was followed by a scoff.
" Don't stop, don't do anything, go on. I'm really eager to find out what that weakling is up to." Alpha Ian ordered and the speed limits of all the whole cars increased.
There were five cars in total, all of different and over expensive models, they contained the bodyguards, Betas and Gammas and some Alphas' other than Carter and Ian.
They were all CEOs of different companies in the human world who were only business partners but some were close friends like Alpha Ian and Alpha Carter.
And in the Werewolf clan, they were also Alphas of different packs but unlike in the human world where they behaved formally towards one another, they were much closer in their world and it was a usual norm for them to return back home together while the representatives take over their various works in the human world.
Delilah frowned in the rickety car she was in as she continued taking different and too many turns as the cars did, she felt a dark shadow cover her car and that's when she glanced up and saw the tall trees and shrubs that surrounded where she was now.
A...jungle? Forest? Was she in a jungle or a forest? Where are this people going to?
Her lips already started trembling slowly, she was so engrossed in following the twist and turns of the cars that she didn't even noticed where she had entered.
What exactly were they looking for in a jungle? Are they lions or what? This wasn't what she planned at all, at all!
Despite all the thoughts running in Delilah's head, she didn't stop following them, since she had been following them till she got lost in some woods, what was the use of stopping halfway?
After a good drive for more than an hour or more, the cars finally stopped and she also halted immediately, she gently opened the door of her old car and came out, hiding behind a thick, huge tree with strong barks that was wide enough to cover her little frame from their sight.
" Holy! What have I entered? Where am I?" She placed her hands on her head as she looked around, it was already early in the afternoon and the sun was shining brightly but the tall trees weren't allowing the rays into the almost dark forest, almost dark because it was already dark if not for the little stubborn rays of the sun.
She was waiting to hear something but nothing at all, it seemed as if she was the only one in the huge, dark forest and she wouldn't lie, she was getting frenzied up already.
Slowly, she decided to check on them, she noiselessly poked her head from behind the tree but all she was seeing were the cars only, nothing else.
Delilah didn't know if she started hallucinating already of it was just fear but she almost swallowed her tongue when all of a sudden, an animal on its fours ran by, a huge one.
" A.....wolf? Isn't that a wolf or am I not seeing clearly again? Hold on, am I...am I currently in the middle of a pack or packs of wolves? Is this how my end is going to finally be?" She thought in horror, gumming herself to the tree.
" Oh no!" She thought sadly again when her eyes started feeling dizzy, the sleeping pills were already working and she could also feel the sudden and the sharp pains in her chest, it was going and coming.
If not for the sharp instincts she had learnt in her school camp and work place where they'd go to some underground places to discover new things, she wouldn't have noticed the ruffles of leaves behind her.
Delilah swiftly whirled around and her breath hung in her throat as her gaze locked with that familiar bright golden eyes that held a completely unfriendly look.
Wait...this was that same eyes, that same look! The exact one she saw in her dreams, the one she had a nightmare about.
He was glaring at her hotly and quietly like he was trying to inspect something on her.
" She's the one." A deep voice echoed from behind and her eyes flew to the direction it came from.
Oh gawd! What had she finally landed herself into?
She had quite a sharp memory so she could remember his voice as the one that was talking in Doctor Mike's office, he was the one who locked gaze with her.
She's the one? His words replayed in her head. What? Does that means they knew her already before? They knew she was trailing them?
Her eyes further lifted up and caught the hardened gaze of several other men behind these two fallen angels standing in her front.
" I'm finished!"
" Who are you?" The bright golden eyed angel asked and she subconsciously squeezed her thighs together, what was that voice? Had she died or was still on earth?
