In the dark room, a woman was seated, with a glass of wine in her hand. Her eyes were filled with anger, hate, and madness as she stared at the screen before her.

The screen showed the top wealthiest family having a business conference. But her focus was on Mateo and Maria Cruz. They had a happy smile plastered on their faces and it made her blood boil. She couldn't stand the fact that they were happy when they had been the one responsible for her demise.

She took her eyes off the screen and decided to take a swig of her drink. She would let them have their moment before she did something drastic. She would make sure they suffered twice over.

Stepping back from the screen, she began to walk through the stacks of the library. Her anger and bitterness fueled her to move faster than normal. Her hunger for revenge consumed her, and she took one last look at the screen.

Furious, she went into the room with the hidden door in the library.

She kicked the door open and walked over to the computer.

"Fuck you guys!" She yelled, clenching her fists as she walked closer to the screen.

She Inhaled heavily and blew smoke through her nostrils as she stared at the screen.

"You little fucking scum!" She spit.

Her phone rang, snapping her out of her murderous mind.

"Crap!" She said as she quickly walked over to her desk and pulled out her phone.

It was Daniel and he was pissed. He had been trying to get in touch with her for days now but she had been too busy.

Her phone rang again, causing her to jump back in fright.

It was Danieland he sounded furious.

"D-Daniel Why do you call me all the time? I'm busy!" She said, a little nervous.

"Li-lah, I know you are but please, for the love of God, answer your phone! Don't ignore me!" He pleaded.

"I-I-I'm sorry, sorry, sorry!" She said as she walked to the couch and sat down, emotionless.

"It's Okay. How have you been? I haven't heard from you since you returned back to Mexico. I hope all is well?" He asked.

"Yes. I am sorry. Everything is fine." She said, nervously. "I've been working on some projects and that is what have been keeping me so busy. I'm still looking for a place to set up my dance studio and other stuff."

"Hmmm! I get it. I understand how it is. But why don't you let me help you?"

"Like you haven't done enough for me already."

"Stop saying that Li-lah. I love you and I'm willing to give anything to make you happy. I just wish you'd let me...."

"Daniel, I appreciate the offer, but I can't. I'm sorry. I just have so many things to do and I don't really want help. But thank you. I do appreciate it and I will keep in touch."

He sighed. "Okay! But if you need anything, anything at all, you call me."

"I sure will."

"How is Lia?"

At the mention of Lia, an evil grin appeared on her face. 'i wonder how you'd feel when you find out Lia is actually your daughter' she thought to herself.

"Lia is very fine."

"I look forward to seeing her someday...

"Don't tell me you still plan to come over to Mexico."

"When I said that I'd do anything to show you just how much I love you, I meant it and if that means I have to abandon everything I have here and starting over with you in Mexico, then I'll do it."

'you fool! Do it! That's just what I want'

"No , I can't let you do that. I can't ask you to do that."

"You are not asking me Li-lah, I'm doing it myself. It's my choice."

She sighed. "Okay. I have to go now. I need to meet some people."

"Alright! take care of yourself."

LI-LAH'S POV

When I'd met Daniel six years ago I knew exactly who he was and quickly befriended him, more like seduce him. I'd made him fall so helplessly in Love with me that he'd kill himself of I asked and that love is what I'd use to destroy him. There's nothing that Hurts a man more than a woman who he loves breaking him down so she can take his life.

Lia is his daughter but he doesn't know that. I had drugged him and made him have sex with a random woman to give birth to her. It was all part of my plan. I would use his own child against me. Call me wicked, call me heartless; that is what these people had turned me Into.

I glanced sideways and my eyes fell on the stack of pictures pinned to the wall.

I feel them staring at me and I stared back with so much hate and anger and seething rage. One after the other I am going to make them pay. Santiago Alberto, Juan Dominic, Maria Cruz, Mateo Cruz, all of them! I'm going to tear their lives apart. Every bit of happiness and joy that they feel will be tainted with their own dirty deeds.

As I stared at the pictures, all the painful memories came flooding back. The pain was so much, it made my eyes well up. I haven't cried for so long and suddenly, the tears started to flow down my face.

"Amelia dear, Papa has to do this. It is the only way I can protect the company and also Carter for the employees. And this is the only way to do it else they won't survive. You understand me. Right love?"

I had looked at the face of my mother and saw the fear and dread In them. I knew she was more afraid of what he was going to do than I was of it.

"Amelia. I'm so very sorry, baby. I wish I could take it all back."

"But papa, you can't!"

"I'm afraid I have to. It's the only way."

The next thing I knew, we had been held captive. They had I and .y mother watch as they beat my father to death. The screams still haunts me every time I close my eyes. I still can't bear to think about it.

"Honey!" My mother screamed in agony

"Dad! Stop hitting my father!"

"¡lo dejó ir! Don't harm him!"

"Dad!"

Our screams did nothing to Juan or the goons he hired. He kept hitting him with the panga, he's face turned red and bloodied. My mother cradled his bloody face, a tear running down her cheek. But they pulled her away from him.

I still remember Juan's voice vividly.

"Hey Alexander! It doesn't have to be like this. Make this simple. All you have to say is 'i volunteered myself to become an industrial spy so I'd take information to the enemy and sneak away technology. I'm sorry and this won't happen again'. Then you sign the document. I'll let you go, I swear!"

My papa looked him in the eyes and refused. "I've never done such a thing. I am not a spy."

And then the hitting started again and this time they hit harder and I was screaming and crying and so was my mom but did no stop even when he was bleeding profusely.

"Just sign it. sign this you moron and all this torture will end."

"stop please!"

"he's bleeding!"

"por favor perdónale la vida. I beg you spare my husband."

"Get them out! They are suddenly too noisy." Juan had said. "What's the point of having them here if they are not able to persuade him to do the needful. Get them out of here."

One of the goons walked up to us. "You heard him. Your presence is no longer needed here." He gestured to the others."take them outside."

"NO! LEAVE MY HUSBAND ALONE!"

"DAD!"

mom and I fought with our strength but they were just to powerful. When it became too much for mom,she collapsed. I almost ran mad in fear. Was I going to lose both my parents in one day?

"mom! mom wake up."

With the last strength I could muster, I pushed through and ran to dad.

"Let her be! I'd like to see what she does." Juan said when one of his men tried to restrain me.

I looked at dad and cried. I wept so hard my stomach hurt. I took off my jacket and covered him up with it. 'he must be cold' I thought.

"Awnn...what a beautiful scene." he said. The sarcasm was heavy In his voice. "But it only makes me want to puke." He said, taking off the jacket I had covered papa with.

I was so angry, I didn't know when I pushed him. "Why are you doing this? Who are you?"

"Estas enojada? are you mad?" He spat angrily. I guess he thought I'd cower and shrink back In fear but I wasn't afraid of him.

"You are on fearless bitch, aren't you? You've been glaring at me, I see to but that's all you can do. just glare. look here, if your father doesn't sign this, he'll die."

Papá did not sign and you can guess what happened. He died and we not even allowed to see him or bury him. They cremated him immediately. Can you imagine that? And they even stopped us from having any communication with the Media men or any news channel.

As if that wasn't enough, that very day after the funeral, mom had fallen sick and I took her to the hospital. I went back home to get a few things for her only to find out that some men had broken I to the house and was looking for Papa's seal. He did not sign those documents they had wanted him to sign even if he was dying. And they also fixed me to sign away my inheritance. Now tell me why I wouldn't be ruthless and heartless when dealing with them.

They would regret ever crossing paths with me.

"Its Lena, your wolf."She heard it, the voice she'd longed to hear for so long."Listen to me kayla. I know you're angry about what happened to your mother, but there's so much you don't yet know. You can't destroy the Redstone pack."Her mouth didn't move but she communed with her wolf. "You show up now? After all these years? You spoke to me once and disappeared after that. 4The room smelled of burning incense and melting wax. It was not a large space but was enough to fit in a brown mahogany table, two wooden chairs and a small bed at the corner. An old clock ticked away on the wall, the sound waking Kayla up from her seeming slumber.Kayla's eyes widened as she realized the strangeness of the environment. She looked around, her blank mind trying to fill in a very important piece of information that was missing from her mind. " where are we?" She asked how the hell did i get here?" "There's an old friend of mine I'd like to talk to." The devil's voice rang from within her. "We need to talk about some boundaries.." She stopped, realizing she had no idea what to call him. "Do you have a name?""Kael." He said after a brief silence and his voice echoed inside her brain."How do you make me do what you want without even realizing it kael? The last thing I remember was waking up in the forest.""Well, we both share your body now, vessel..""Kayla..my nam

  • Delilah   second chance

Chapter 3: A Second ChanceKayla opened her eyes quickly and cried out for air. Everything around her was spinning, and for a brief moment, she believed she was still in a horrible place. But no, this was not the same. The air was warm and smelled like cooked meat and flowers. She opened her eyes and surveyed the area. She found herself in the staff rooms of Alpha Luther's large property. From a tiny window, she observed the vast courtyard where the biweekly Alpha meeting was happening. Her heart skipped a beat. It was all familiar. Not the staff quaters alone - she'd lived here for the most part of her life- but this night felt like deja vu. This was impossible, but considering that she'd just died in the woods and met with the devil, everything was pretty much possible. This night - this exact moment - was burned into her memory. It was the night her mother died. "No," Kayla whispered, clutching her chest as the realization hit her. "This can't be real."But everything was as sh

  • Delilah   deal with the devil

chapter 2: a deal with the devil Kayla laughed. It was not a nervous laugh or a soft giggle - it was a loud, unstoppable laugh, the type that comes when things around you are just too strange to understand. She grabbed her stomach, shaking her head."You expect me to believe this? she said between fits of laughter. "You? The devil? And me your avatar? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever -"Before she was done, a loud noise filled the room. The air got hot as fire burst from the person's hand, forming a bright ball of flames. Suddenly, he threw it at her.Kayla yelled, lifting her hands up to protect herself. The dark object stuck to her hand, shining brightly as it created a shield around her. The fireball hit the shield and bounced back at the figure. He lifted his arm to block it, clenching his teeth as the force of the hit sent waves of energy across the room. The room fell silent, the only sound the crackling of the still-burning flames surrounding them. • Delilah   meeting the devil

Chapter 1: meeting the devilHer breaths came in gasps as she pushed herself forward, one foot after the other in a speed she never knew she possessed. "Lena please." She begged, calling to her wolf but she didn't respond. She hadn’t been able to get through to her for years. But in this desperate moment, she tried. She had no other choice. The silence greeted her, just like it did when they lost contact. It had been that way ever since. She didn't see the huge log In front of her and she tripped on it, falling. A sharp wood pierced her through on her side and her hand flew to her mouth to muffle her screams. She shut her eyes tight and opened them again, blinking back tears. While one hand pulled out the wood, the other one pressed against the wound. It did no much good since the blood kept seeping out. Tears flowed freely from her eyes now. She couldn't do this anymore. She'll give up and let them catch her but her mother's voice rang in her head. "protect it with your life. You m

  • Delilah   The end (epilogue)

The winds of change swept through the air as Amelia stepped onto the plane, her heart heavy with the weight of all that she was leaving behind. Mexico had been a place of love, betrayal, heartbreak, and redemption. It had shaped her in ways she could never fully explain. But it was time to move on. She leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes as memories of her family, of Mateo, and of everything they had endured together, flooded her mind. She thought of the quiet moments she had shared with Mateo—the stolen glances, the tender touches, the unspoken words that had once bridged the distance between them. Those moments would forever be etched in her heart, but they were not enough to keep her tethered to a past that no longer served her. Her family—her mother, her father—had been the driving forces behind her fight. Their memories were now the foundation of her resolve. She would honor them by living a life that was not shaped by the darkness that had consumed them but by the stren
