Episode 5

“Get away from me you asshole!” I screamed, pushing him hard away from me that he hit his back against the walls of the door.

“What do you think you’re doing?! Don’t you have a wife?” I yelled in exasperation and even though, I wanted to feel that sense of love again, I really wanted him to get away from me.

“It is men like you who ruin homes and drive their wives crazy, so the get a divorce!” I added and he just stood there, staring at me as though he had nothing to say but hell, I had more than a lot to say to him.

“And so this makes me what? A bitch? A dry man who wants nothing but to be inside a wet pussy? Come on Jane! I don’t even have a wife!” He barked and I was shocked at his resounding words. What did he mean he didn’t have a wife.

“Oh you’re a fine one to deny your wife. What did I expect anyways?” I scoffed, returning back to the sink to complete what I had started.

“I mean it, I would never lie to you or to anyone else. Bianca is not my wife and I can prove it,” he said, bringing out his phone from his pockets as though he got an important call or text.

“Alright then, prove it!” I yelled and he shoved his phone in my face.

“Here, take it!” He said handing me the phone to go through the phone and of course I took it. I wanted to find out the mystery of this man. I wanted to uncover all mysteries. It was my curious and determined nature that got me into one hell of a marriage anyways.

I took a swipe or two of his gallery, then went to his call logs and saw that he had his wive’s name as Bianca Fernandez.

“What is this? Some kind of joke?” I sneered at him and he just let out a huge sigh, holding his head as though he was tired of me and my tantrums

“I don’t have any pictures of us together and look, I still have her number saved as her maiden name!” He explained and just stood there, shocked at the audacity of this man, lying to my face.

“So if she isn’t your wife, who is she then?” I asked, a little smirk playing on my face with my hands, akimbo.

“She’s my personal assistant,” he sighed and I looked at him.

“These rich people,” I scoffed.

“I don’t have time for this,” I continued, carrying my bag and packed everything I brought out of it and made for the door.

“Listen to me, Jane,” he said, blocking my way from leaving through the door.

“Get out of my way Henry!” I yelled, shoving him by the side but he wouldn’t budge.

“Listen to me!” He thundered, grabbing me by my shoulders and shaking me violently.

“Get away from me!” I yelled, trying to break free from his grip.

“Just, hear me out okay?” He said, a bit calmly this time and I got some time to take a look at his face. He was absolutely beautiful. The most perfect man I’d ever seen. How could a woman do beautiful marry the perfect man, or so she thought.

This perfect man is a hunter, hunting for other women to indulge in. I pitied his poor wife, Bianca. Who knows if the man is actually the reason for their childlessness? Who knows?

“I will spare you just five seconds and you leave my way else, I will babble all the way to your wife on your next gym session,” I said and he looked as though he had seen a ghost.

“You make me feel so many different emotions at once Jane. I haven’t taken a breath of fresh air since the first time I saw you on the road that day. I just can’t seem to get you out of my head. And as if God answers prayers, he brought you straight to me, at my party. Isn’t that a sign?” He asked, his hands still on my arms and I stared at him in bewilderment.

“Really? Is this really what you came up with? That’s it, all of you are the same! I’m at your party because I came to have a good time without a man hovering around me. And even if you really can’t stop thinking about me, how is any of that supposed to bother me?” I snapped and he grabbed my face, slowly. I suddenly got lost is his eyes. They had this commanding aura over me. His breath smelled of tequila and mint. It sent me over the edge.

“If you really didn’t care, you still wouldn’t be here with me, Jane,” he said, slowly and calmly, moving closer to my face than he initially was.

“Stay away from me, Henry,” I said, with a shaky voice, slightly afraid of what was going to happen next but hey, blame it on tipsy.

“Okay,” he said, backing away and I gave him one last glare then left through the door.

Now, that was one hell of a conversation. A conversation I never wanted to have. Speaking with him brought so many bad memories of my husband I didn’t want to think of. Poor Bianca, she has no idea what he does and I’m sure I’m not the first, neither am I the last.

“He hasn’t stopped thinking about me, huh,” I scoffed with a light smile playing on my lips.

“Jane! Where have you been? I’ve been looking all over for you!” Sheba walked up to me looking completely drunk.

“Sheba, don’t worry about me, I feel better now. Where’s your husband?” I asked and she looked taken aback, looking around frantically like she was looking for a child.

“Uhm, I don’t know,” she said but immediately brushed it off when she heard her favorite music come on.

“Heyyyyy, let’s get to the dance floor and dance. We came here to party,” she said moving her body to the rhythm of the song.

“I know but, you came here with your husband so you should leave with him,” I was worried about my sister especially in her drunken state and I didn’t want to be responsible for her, especially not now she was drunk.

“Oh Sheba, how could you lose yourself in this drink?” I was already slightly frustrated, trying to hold her up from falling down.

“It was just a sip! I promise,” she said and giggled very loudly that if there wasn’t a loud music playing in the background, people would have thought she saw a cat.

“Alright, let’s dance,” I said, holding and leading her to the dance floor.

“I was wondering when you would stop being a party pooper!” She laughed and started moving her body to the rhythm of the song while I joined her. We had a lot of fun and I wanted to do that again with her another time, another place.

We had enough fun and I was now tired and so was she. “Hey Sheba, it’s time to go home.” I tapped her lightly while her eyes were almost closing up due to her drowsiness and sleepiness.

“Come on, let’s go,” I nudged her a little, gently dragging her to the lounge where we had kept our belongings when we entered the venue.

We got to the tables and I looked for all her stuff and packed everything up. By the corner of my eyes, I caught sight of Henry, whispering sweet nonsense into another woman’s ears and I rolled my eyes. Typical.

I looked around again for any sight of Sheba’s husband but I couldn’t find him. “Oh no, Sheba. Can you call his phone?”

“What?” She asked, barely audible and I knew asking her any questions would be all to no avail so I searched for my phone in my purse and searched for her husband’s number. Once I dialed the number, it didn’t go through and went straight to voicemail. That was odd. Now, I had to drive her to my house, myself.

“Hey, come. Let’s go,” I said, helping her up as she could barely stand without staggering. I led her out of the building and into my car. I made sure she stayed out at the back seat while I got into the driver’s seat.

I looked around again for any sign of the car they came in with and I did find it. I got down from my car and walked over to her red Chevrolet. I looked into the car, hoping he would be in there but he wasn’t. I gave up.

On our way home, I couldn’t help but think about the events that had happened the past few days. It was the most eventful since I had been married to Rick. What a pity. I missed all the drama anyways.

I got home and I noticed two extra cars were parked in my garage. It was a big garage so my car fit in either way. I wondered who the cars belonged to. But I eventually remembered that it was of Rick’s nature to bring in strangers into the house without informing me, especially women.

I took a deep breath in the car, bracing myself for whatever drama that may take place inside the house. I wasn’t even ready to meet eyes with him because the moment I saw him with a woman, pierced my heart deeply. But then again, I stayed. Just thinking about it, made my tummy troubled.

“Here goes nothing,” I muttered under my breath as I turned my car off and got down. I opened the back door for my sister and helped her down, leaving her things still in the car.

I got to my door and it wasn’t locked with a key, I walked into the living room and didn’t see a single soul so I decided to take my sister to the guest room. The moment I opened the guest room, my jaw dropped at the sight I was looking at, I almost screamed.
