Winner of The Duel

Dray was sufficiently refreshed after ten rounds. He was absolutely pleading with me to let him go to the arena because he had had enough of swallowing medications.

I concurred.

Actually, I was planning to hold off for another five rounds and let Dray compete in the final five. Yet, after observing his face, which appeared as though he had witnessed death, I surmised that he may have had some sort of psychological trauma.

I, therefore, gave him the green light to go.

An axe was swung.

The escaping Azure Dragon member's head, shot high into the air after separating from his neck. The audience hadn't seen this in a while.

The head rolled twice before falling to the ground with a loud thud. His eyes were out wide on his terrified and unsettled countenance.

Why was it such bad luck for him to face the grim reaper at his turn? Before his passing, nobody could respond to the person's thoughts.
