Scripts

Hayden rolled his eyes and kept staring at the sky.

“Of all girls in the world, Bryan had to hire a drama queen.” He muttered and stood up. He walked into the house and head towards his room, he paused when he saw Ashley staring at the dragon’s painting on the wall.

She was so drawn to it, she didn't notice when he walked towards her.

“Ashley.” He called and she flinched.

“Oh my God, you scared the shit out of me.” She gasped.

“I thought you were going to your room.”

“Yeah, I wanted to but I realized I was trapped in my room all day for a stupid reason.” She said and he ignored her statement.

“Can I ask a question?” She asked and he nodded.

“What is this painting about?”

“I have no idea.”

“But it's in this house... “

“It's the Empire's house remember?” He asked and she sighed.

“Why does it look so familiar?” She mumbled but Hayden heard what she said.

“It looks familiar?”

“Yes, I don't remember seeing it but I feel like I know about this painting a lot like I have lived it and I am this girl covered in blood.”

“Okay, you are getting crazy, that's enough.” Hayden said and she giggled as he pulled her away from the painting.

“Don’t giggle, it is not funny.” He scoffed and pulled her inside her room.

She jerked her hand away from him and sat on a couch.

“This is the most annoying job I have ever had to do.” Ashley groaned.

“You never had a job before, this is your first one.”

“How did you know?”

“It is so obvious, you are so lazy.”

“I am not lazy.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“You are not actually doing anything about this review.”

“Because Bryan told me not to do anything.”

“Of course, but do you know there are scripts we have to follow?”

“Scripts?” She asked and sat properly on the couch.

“Yes, in the study room.”

“Hold on, why do you suddenly care about this interview?”

“Nothing, I still don't care about it. I am just informing you that you are not doing your job.”

“Neither are you, all you do is look good and dress up in tuxedoes.”

“And all you do is get me to do stupid things on your list.”

“Because Bryan told me to.”

“I told you earlier that this movie is all about a girl who got into slavery and got sold to a mafia Lord and she has to be submissive to him.” He explained and she sighed.

“Okay, fine. Let's go get the scripts.”

“You aren't sleeping?”

“It's still early and I have been trapped here all day.” She said and he nodded.

“And can you change your clothes?”

“Okay.” He replied and head towards the door.

“Can I follow you to your room? I just want to see how Empire designed your room.”

“No.” He replied and walked out, she sighed and waited for him for a while before walking out of her room. She saw him walking towards her dressed in casual wear and she bit her lip.

“Let’s go.” He muttered and they both walked down the stairs, they finally got to the study room and Ashley looked around the room.

“It looks so dark and spooky.” She said and he flipped a switch, the lights turned on and she smiled.

“Much better.” She muttered and Hayden passed a script to her, he sat on the chair and she sat beside him. She went through the scripts and her eyes widen in shock as she read them.

“This is the script? For the movie?” She asked surprised.

“Yes, and we are supposed to practice it during the review.”

“But in here, we are supposed to have sex!” She yelled and he sighed.

“I didn't write the script.”

“Did Bryan give this to you?”

“Somehow.” He shrugged and she rolled her eyes.

“But there are a lot of sex scenes here!” She exclaimed flipping through the pages.

“I don't know why you are bothered about this, it's just sex.” Hayden scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“Did you just say just sex? Just sex?”

“Yes, just sex.”

“How is sex not a big deal?”

“Because it's not.”

“I can't have sex, I haven't even had my first kiss... “ She trailed off and cleared her throat.

“You haven't kissed anyone before?” Hayden asked and she looked at the scripts feeling slightly embarrassed.

“I don't know what you are talking about.”

“You just said it now.”

“So?”

“You are twenty-one, everyone has their first kiss when they are thirteen.”

“Whatever, I don't feel comfortable practicing this script with you, I have to talk to Bryan about it.” She said and dropped the scripts.

“Then you will have to find another job.”

“It's worth it, it's better than having sex with an arrogant jerk like you.”

“Hmm, seems more important to you than your mother’s life.” He said and she froze.

“What?”

“I thought you took this job because of your dying mother.” He let out and tears rushed to her eyes.

“Don't put it that way, she is not dying, she is just ill.” She yelled.

“Stop being dramatic about it.”

“I am not being dramatic about it, how would you feel if a person says you have a dying mother?”

“Normal.” He said and she scoffed.

“You are so unbearable.” She said and stood up.

“Same thing goes for you.” He replied and she turned away from him, she took in a deep breath and tried to calm herself. She turned back to him and sighed.

“I am not comfortable practicing this script with you, I will tell Bryan about it and if I lose the job, it's fine. I will just work harder and find a new one.” She said and walked out of the room.

“Dude!” Bryan snapped and hit Hayden’s arm as he appeared behind him.

“What?” Hayden groaned.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? Why will you say hurtful things to her?”

“Because I want her out of my house.”

“She is going nowhere because she is the one you need.”

“I don't need anyone Hayden and you can't judge if she is the one I need by just looking at her.”

“I know and you just blew up the only chance for us to know.”

“Get her out of my house Bryan, I am giving you a week more to get her out or I will.”

“She is going nowhere Hayden because she is the one you need.” Bryan said and disappeared.
