Se connecterIn the dimly lit corner of a cozy bar, Joseph found the perfect spot for himself and his twin friends, Icarus and Isaias. The bar was alive with laughter and chatter, but here, they could have their own space, away from the prying eyes and the cacophony of the world.
Joseph hailed the bartender, a burly man with a friendly smile, and ordered three glasses of their favorite liquors. As the bartender poured the amber liquid into the glasses, Joseph looked at Icarus and Isaias with a warm smile. "Cheers, my buddies," he said, raising his glass."Cheers," Icarus and Isaias replied in unison, clinking their glasses with Joseph's.Icarus, the elder of the twins by a mere five minutes, took a sip of his drink and leaned back in his chair, his eyes distant. "You remember the time we visited this city with Mom, right?" he asked, a wistful smile playing on his lips.Isaias nodded, his gaze mirroring his brother's nostalgia. "Of course. How could I forget? It was one of the best times of our lives."Joseph leaned in, eager to relive those moments through their stories. His eyes sparkled remembering their childhood. Both twins shook their heads, seeing Joseph's beaming eyes.Icarus took another sip and began his tale. "It was summer, just like it is now. The city was alive with energy, and Mom wanted to show us the city since we never stepped out of the home before.”Isaias chimed in, "She had this map, you know? She had marked all the places she wanted us to visit. Every day, we'd pick a spot and explore it together. Dad didn't know about this. He was always on guard back then. As kids, we didn't know and followed our mother. It was like an adventure for us but…"Joseph listened intently, savoring every word as the twins transported him to a time long gone.Icarus continued, "One day, she took us to that beautiful park by the river. The sun was shining, and the trees provided the perfect shade. We had a picnic there, and Mom made the most delicious sandwiches."Isaias chuckled, his eyes sparkling with memories. "Oh, those sandwiches! She used to say they were made with love, and I believed her. They tasted like heaven."Joseph couldn't help but smile at the image of their mother, a warm and caring woman who had poured her heart into every moment they shared.Icarus's voice grew softer as he recalled another memory. "And then there was that night when she took us to that rooftop restaurant. The city skyline was breathtaking, all lit up with a million twinkling lights."Isaias added, "I remember Mom telling us to make a wish on the first star we saw. She said it was a tradition. I wished for her happiness, and Icarus wished for our family to always stay close. But we didn't think that would be her last outing with us."Joseph could feel the emotion in the room, the weight of those heartfelt wishes still lingering in the air. It was clear that those memories were etched deep in their hearts, keeping their mother's spirit alive in every word they spoke.“They separated her from us and ruined our family. I don't mind burning down the whole pack to take revenge on them for ruining our family.” Isaias gripped the glass which would break any moment.Joseph finally spoke up, “ Don't Worry. I will help you guys till you achieve your goal.” Joseph encouraged the twins.Icarus and Isaias nodded, their eyes glistening with tears that held sorrow and rage. Soon they got distracted when Icarus's mobile chimed showing that someone messaged him. The image in the wallpaper got Joseph's guard off for a moment.“Isn't she Amethysta McCarlock?” Joseph asked in surprise.“Do you know her?” Icarus asked. But Isaias was irked because Joseph knew Amethysta.“Yeah, of course... Everyone in the pack knows her. For her unique eyes and her father, Patrick McCarlock, A Scientist.” Joseph said. The twins furrowed their brows hearing the name. The familiar name they knew from the start.“You guys would have heard of him before, I don't know... But he is a great man you know... He is saving the omegas by his pheromone therapy.” Joseph stopped in the middle making the twins raise their brows in annoyance.“What do you mean by Pheromone Therapy?” Isaias asked.“Some feral Alphas are still wandering around the city, disguising themselves as good Alphas. But their behavior will change as soon as they see fragile omega. Because of that, many omegas are killed or brutally ràped by them. To mask their pheromones, he came up with artificial pheromones which would mask the pheromones of the omegas and make them look like a beta. Isn't he a genius?” Joseph wriggled his brows.“Artificial pheromones... Sounds interesting...” Icarus smirked.“Come to the point, why are you having his daughter's photo as your profile? And you are beside her as well. Have you known her before?” Joseph became serious.“I was her bar date a few days ago,” Icarus smirked wickedly.“Does she know about your background? I mean... Your past... I am damn sure if Patrick knows that her daughter is hanging out with Dempsey, he will not just sit and see.” Joseph warned Icarus.“You don't have to worry about our Princess, Joseph... Just focus on your work. We will take care of everything.” Isaias said. Joseph's eyes widened in shock after realizing Isaias's words.“You two are surely sick bastards...” Joseph shook his head.“We don't deny the fact, Buddy,” Icarus said, taking his mobile. He opened the text which was sent by Amethysta.“Sorry for earlier. Dad called me suddenly. And he doubts that I am talking to someone who is not my friend.” the text read.“She is such a naive cat. I can't wait to play with her a little more.” Icarus licked his lips, surely thinking dirty.“Don't tell me, she doesn't know that you two are twins.” As Joseph asked, The twins shook their heads. Joseph couldn't help but worry about Amethysta who got entangled with these two crazy psychos. Joseph gulped down the remaining liquor he had in his glass finishing up the glass in one go.“It's okay, Angel. Do not worry much. See you later. Have a good sleep.” Icarus messaged Amethysta and turned off his mobile. He surely knew how Amethysta would react seeing this message.“I can't wait to see her vulnerable reaction,” Isaias murmured.“Before that, we have to take care of Patrick. Wasn't he also involved in our mom's problem? Let's pay a visit to his home one day. But not now.” Icarus suggested. Joseph was already fed up with his twin friends who were taking the wrong path by taking revenge.“Oh fuck… you’re the death of us, Princess…” Isaias mumbled under his breath, taking a step forward. Amethysta instinctively stepped back, her heart beginning to race again.“Why don’t you wait for me outside? I’ll change into the dress and be out in a minute…” She let out a nervous chuckle, though her legs felt unsteady. She couldn’t let him notice how flustered she truly was.Isaias hummed in response, but he didn’t stop advancing.“Isaias…” Amethysta stuttered, her voice just loud enough to pull him back to reality. His eyes flickered briefly with a golden glow before settling again, and Isaias looked at her as if he had just snapped out of a trance. Amethysta exhaled shakily, her heartbeat still unsteady. He really was the death of her.“I’m sorry… I just got lost in my thoughts.” Isaias said quietly before stepping away from Amethysta.Everything about this felt strange. Both of them could sense how deeply they craved each other, not just emotionally, but physically as well. Ever
“How do you know that my dad will be late?” She looked at them, her eyes clearly betraying her suspicion.“Of course, because you posted it, Princess… Don’t you remember?” Isaias asked, raising an eyebrow slightly.Amethysta mentally facepalmed herself for being so foolish. How could she forget that? She smiled awkwardly. Why had she doubted the two alphas? Perhaps the manipulative game they had played earlier still lingered in her heart. It was strange, though. Even when she had spoken to them while believing one of them was Icarus, she had never once felt repelled by Isaias’s presence. To her, they somehow felt like one, yet she could still not distinguish them clearly.“Have your doubts been cleared, Angel?” Icarus asked softly before continuing,“If yes, then let’s find something to fill your tummy.” With that, Icarus pulled the younger girl along with him while Isaias followed behind silently, a faint sense of pride visible on his face. As soon as they entered the kitchen, confus
“Why trouble yourself, Mr. Nicolas, when we’re already here to pick her up?” Icarus spoke smoothly, a subtle smile playing on his lips. Yet somehow, that smile only intimidated Eira and Amethysta even more.“And I don’t trust my pack omega’s safety with a murderer’s sons.” Mateo’s words instantly crossed a line he never should have touched.A low growl rumbled from Isaias as his eyes flashed gold, his fangs beginning to elongate dangerously.“One more word about our mother, and I’ll rip your throat apart.” Isaias was about to lunge at Mateo, but Amethysta quickly stepped between them, stopping him. Mateo had gone too far by bringing up something so sensitive, something that had happened decades ago.Amethysta could clearly see the hurt in the twins’ eyes. Even Eira realized that Mateo had crossed a line. She knew him well enough to understand that he normally wouldn’t speak like that, yet here he was, throwing around hurtful words without thinking.“Isaias... stop...”With just a sing
“I didn’t expect the Dempseys to be here,”Eira muttered, though she didn’t like the fact that the Dempsey twins had been in contact with Amethysta. Still, she could clearly see how happy Amethysta looked. As far as she knew, she could tell Amethysta would be heartbroken sooner or later.“And I didn’t expect your fiancé and professor to be here...” Amethysta looked at Eira and Isabella.“Shut up... I don’t even know why he’s here. He should’ve already gone home. Look at them, drawing attention, and don’t even get me started on those videos those crazy girls are taking…”Isabella adjusted her hair, trying not to get caught by Zephyr’s gaze, while Eira and Amethysta were more than happy to see their men.“Why not, darling... look at him... just waiting for his college belle...” Eira teased Isabella, who only rolled her eyes in response.“I don’t like getting attention from them at all.” Isabelle grunted. “Go for it, girl... don’t regret it later.”Amethysta encouraged her, but Isabella
“So… something happened between you two?”Eira caught on immediately, making Isabella second-guess her decision to reveal everything to her friends. But it didn’t matter, they would find out sooner or later. As they walked toward their class, Isabella decided to tell them.“Yeah… something happened. But not now… it was a one-night stand, and he marked me temporarily.”“What a jerk! How could he mark you like that?” Eira grumbled, clearly annoyed. The thought of a temporary mark pulled her back to her own memories, her heat, the loneliness she had felt when Mateo left her alone. Even though they had reconciled, the old wound still lingered in her heart.“No… he wanted to take responsibility, but I refused. You know, it’s normal in the era we’re living in…”“So that’s why you wore the patch that day…” As Amethysta spoke, Isabella gave a small nod, and Eira could only gasp. How had she missed something so important?“Last night, I was drunk, completely wasted. I met him in an alley… we a
As Isabella caressed Zephyr’s hair, the grip around her waist tightened, stirring something deep within her. Her heart raced, and her face flushed. She tried to loosen his hold, but she couldn’t. He had been picking on her and her friends from the day he first saw them, constantly lingering in her thoughts ever since. When had her hatred turned into something else? She had no idea. Thinking of their constant bickering only made her feel embarrassed. She had never imagined that one day, she would fall for this professor.“Done admiring me?” Zephyr opened his eyes, locking his gaze with hers. A deep blush spread across her cheeks.“Who is admiring you?”Isabella tried to shrug off his hand and get up from the bed, but her struggle was in vain when Zephyr pulled her back down, resting his head on her chest. Her heart pounded wildly, the sound echoing in her ears.“Why are you so nervous? I’m not doing anything, am I?” Zephyr turned his face, looking straight into Isabella’s eyes, not loo
“You don’t have to hide in the darkness, warrior.”There was no response from the direction he was looking at. But a moment later, a figure emerged from the shadows and stepped into the dim light, coming to a halt before him.“Marcus Van Harl… a warrior wolf who has never been bound to any pack. My
There they stood, arguing like a couple.“That is none of your business, Professor… Are we close? Why are you showering me with your nonsense questions?” Isabella shoved his hands away, trying to steady herself. Then she grabbed his collar, pulling him closer until their lips were only an inch apar
When Isaias and Icarus reached home, it was past midnight. As usual, they tried to sneak in, but the sudden brightness of the lights made them hiss.“You two… come here.”Dareen sat on the couch, waiting for his sons to return. With a roll of their eyes, they walked toward him, their heads hanging
“Take them out.”Isaias ordered, and Marcus complied without hesitation. With a loud thud, Samuel was thrown out of the room. A grunt rattled in his throat as he tried to push himself up, only to be forced back down when Isaias slammed his face against the floor with his boot.Icarus watched his br
