in some werewolf novels mates can automatically smell/ identify the scents of their mates.in here, seems they need time to realize that their mates.which made me wondering...

So I don’t want to give too much away just yet but all I will say is Jaxon can smell Jace on Cleo…which means he could smell that it is Jace’s baby. Jaxon can’t smell Cleo, if that makes sense, because they aren’t mates. X
