"This room seems taken." I said when Denver opened the door to a particular room.

"It is." he replied.

My eyes widened. What was he playing at? There is literally no way i would sleep in the same room with any demon.

"I think i will just return to the other room. Thank you for your... effort?" I said and was about going down stairs when he suddenly gripped me.

"I am afraid not. You will be staying here till the door to the other room is replaced." Denver said.

"Why here? Aren't there any other rooms? Its a big building or is it just an open space in all other parts?" I asked.

"This room and the other room with the broken door are the only ones protected with spells. Now go in." he said and pushed me inside the room.

"Why do you even care what happens to me? I should have been dead long back but here i am." I complained.

"I don,t think i owe you any explanations." Denver said and left the room.

This place is a mess. Don't demons ever clen up? Oh wait, that's right, they are demons.
