Claire's P.O.V

I've been waiting for Ethan Randall for almost thirty minutes now, with no clue what he's up to behind that worn-out wooden door.

Propping up my chin, I yawn a few times, feeling bored. This place feels alien to me. Plus, all these strangers keep glancing at me, judging me with their eyes, acting like I don't belong there.

I didn't plan on staying long, but I had no choice. I can't even talk to Danny, who's making sure I don't say anything about Christopher Gale. Because of that, I can't interrogate anyone.

I scan the room, leaning on my chin. Nothing interesting, just a bunch of people giving me dirty looks. It feels like they're about to eat me alive.

"When are they gonna be done?" I ask Danny, who's still eyeing me suspiciously.

Is he scared I'll talk about Christopher Gale? If that's the case, I think Christopher Gale has something I need to know. It's absurd for a fake Alpha like him to run a pack as big as The Moon Fall Pack.

Of course, there is no way a fake Alph

Ethan’s P.O.VThe night sky was pitch-black, heavy clouds looming overhead like a bad omen. Ethan stood at the edge of the forest, his sharp gaze scanning the terrain ahead. Beside him were his Warriors—fearless men and women who’d follow him to hell and back. They all knew tonight's mission was a gamble, but their loyalty to Ethan, their leader, outweighed the fear creeping up their spines.“We hit ‘em head-on. No mercy,” Ethan's voice rang out, solid as steel. The Warriors responded with synchronized nods, ready to roll.Up north, Malvic Stalon, Alpha of the Lycans, awaited the signal. In the dead silence, the towering Lycans stood in their full forms—living, breathing war machines. Muscles rippled under thick hides; claws and razor-sharp fangs gleamed as the fractured moonlight kissed their lethal silhouettes.“This is it. We crush the Moon Fall Pack!” Malvic’s voice thundered, icy and deadly. No way were they giving Christopher Gale’s lackeys a free pass. Didn’t matter if those wo

Ethan’s P.O.V“You can’t do that!” I yelled, my voice loud enough to make him stop. “Even if you’ve heard that I never wanted her as my Luna, she’s still my Luna, no matter what.”“Oh, you’re pretty greedy for someone so young.” he said with his smirk.“What?!”“I’ve been there too. Chasing my wild ambitions, building my empire over other races. I was strong, way smarter than you werewolves, but the more I realized I couldn’t do everything I wanted because of limits, the less I wanted it. Maybe you should start thinking the same.”“But she’s my Luna!” I shouted to him.“And she’s the next Alpha of this Pack.” He shot back, his tone sharp, emotions barely held in check. “Even though you’re fated mates, there’s no personal bond between you two. So, when this is over, you can go back to your life, and I’ll take responsibility for hers.”What the hell? Hearing him say all this infuriating stuff, I couldn’t even muster a single word in response. It felt like I was being crushed into useles

Ethan's P.O.VMalvic Stalon—the Alpha of the Lycans from the North. This is seriously something else. How could the elders in this Pack pull off something like this? I mean, from the North to this Pack is a crazy long distance, at least two days’ journey. And during all that time, the warriors and all the loyalists guarding Christopher Gale’s mansion didn’t catch wind of his arrival? That’s just nuts. No way that’s possible.Even if the warriors were as oblivious as a brick wall, ignoring the presence of another species within the Pack is not something any of us would take lightly. And let’s be real, Werewolves and Lycans are like oil and water—silent enemies. There’s no official declaration of hatred between us, but Lycans and their “holier-than-thou” attitude make us Werewolves sick. That arrogance fuels our endless animosity—a beef with no expiration date. What’s more, everyone pretty much knows about the Northern Lycans’ beef with Christopher Gale. Rumor has it the fake Alpha snat

Ethan's P.O.VAfter patching up some wounds and catching our breath for a bit, we took off, trailing Andara Spectra up a hill near the ridges surrounding The Moon Fall Pack. The old lady—once part of the Elders from that big Pack—claimed she’d be performing a summoning there, saying an Elder resided in that area, only showing up at the Pack when Christopher Gale called for meetings. I probably should’ve been more suspicious about this, but Andara Spectra wasn’t giving off any shady vibes. Even Chen Lien, who had a nose for deception, didn’t pick up on anything sketchy from the old woman. So, we figured we might as well follow her lead. The spot was a bit of a hike, tucked into the forest. But when we got there, we saw a small cabin, and from it, we had a clear view of Christopher Gale’s fancy-ass mansion. I’d been there once before—back when we first struck this deal. The negotiations started off smooth, but the second I found out that the person I was supposed to capture in exchan

  • Depth Rough: She Was The Unwanted Luna   88. Longing & Hatred

Claire’s P.O.VI couldn’t freaking believe what was right in front of me. It was Sister Alberta and the orphanage kids—the only family I ever knew, the people I thought were dead. But they weren’t. They were alive, trapped behind metal bars in some dark, cold room inside the ridiculously lavish mansion of Christopher Gale. That fake-ass Alpha. I had spent years believing he had slaughtered my family, only to find out the bastard had been keeping them hidden, away from me. Why? Just to break me. Just to see me drown in despair. My eyes locked onto Sister Alberta, her frail figure seated in a wheelchair, being pushed closer by Sister Annabella so our hands could touch through the bars. I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore. The kids were wailing, their cries echoing in the room, filled with fear, hopelessness, and a longing that cut deep into my soul. Her wrinkled hand reached out to me, trembling, desperate. I tried to do the same, but before I could, Christopher Gale yanked my w

  • Depth Rough: She Was The Unwanted Luna   87. Arrival & A Plan

Following Chen Lien's directions, I quickly asked my warriors to prep the plane. We're flying over to The Moon Fall Pack to pick up Claire. Therefore, I decided to head back to my Pack, personally imprison Lucy, and request the Elders to immediately integrate Sir Torrance's Pack into The Silver Fire Pack. I didn’t want to waste time and effort doing it another day.Upon arriving at my Pack, I was greeted by Andara Spectra, the former Elder of The Moon Fall Pack.Andara informed me that neither she nor Octa found anything on the escape route that Lucy Torrance created to facilitate Christopher Gale's plans. She even requested some guards to plant explosives on that route to destroy it, ensuring no one could use it in the future.Honestly, I liked that decision because, aside from having Octa with her, I also noticed that Andara's skills as an Elder were still top-notch. Her intuition remained sharp, and she was still wise. It showed when she made the Rogue Wolves in that forest much mo
