"Don't try to move, miss. Just stay put. Otherwise, I'll grab you by the neck," said the man behind Ella.

"Just be quiet, miss, if you don't want to get hurt. This will be over soon. Once we get everything we can from you, we'll be out of here." added the man in front of her. Like the man behind her, his voice was also deep. Ella was inexplicably afraid. She couldn't move.

"Who are these people? Oh Lord, what is going on? Are they robbers or terrorists? OMG, what should I do? Where are my teammates? Damn it, why did they leave me? Did they leave me alone here? Oh my God."

Without thinking properly and because of fear, Ella shouted in despair.

"Help! Somebody help. Help, please, police... police." The woman screamed.

The men surrounding Ella were alarmed. One of them pulled out a knife and was about to point it at the woman's neck, but because he was flustered, he stumbled with the knife as if he was going to stab her. Then someone came from behind and grabbed the man, spun him around, and slammed him to the floor.

Although the woman couldn't see clearly, she could hear the banging and sounds of the struggle.

Suddenly, a man pulled her from behind and grabbed her by the neck. There was even more chaos after that. But then she heard a faint groan and heavy breathing. Ella felt a chilling fear.

"Let go of her."

A loud, husky, and almost hoarse voice echoed in the dark. Matt was trying to calm himself down. He was using almost a thousand controls to keep himself from attacking the man holding the woman. Ella was shocked. The voice came from a man who seemed to be in front of her an

"That man... the man... maybe the man can help her."

Ella whispered, even though she was trembling with fear. She had to do something. She had no idea who it was, but she knew he was there to help. She was terrified, but at least she had hopes that this man would help her.

So, Ella made a swift decision. The woman bit the hand of the man holding her neck and kicked the man next to her with all her might. Then she quickly ran towards the man who had reprimanded the bad guys.

But Ella's attempt was unsuccessful. Ella sighed and screamed as loud as she could because in a split second, the man she was biting caught her by the hair and pulled her back.

A roar, like that of a large monster, echoed, and then there was more chaos inside the bar. She heard tables and chairs being overturned.

The sound of bottles breaking, as well as the muffled moans of those fighting, and she could hear some people hitting the walls and being thrown to the floor. Ella knew that whoever this man was, he was fighting these villainous men. he was very big and strong, able to throw his opponent around. Maybe he was a gym rat, or the one helping her was a bouncer at that place. Then more commotion followed. The roar became louder. Ella heard the screams and shouts of other people. She also heard people running around in a panic, bumping into her, and she fell several times. Ella didn't understand why or what was happening. She couldn't see what was going on because of the darkness.

Ella also wanted to run away in fear, but her legs wouldn't move. Her body was so stiff, and she couldn't even move. She heard the heavy footsteps of someone approaching her, and the woman panicked even more. Then, she heard heavy breathing. She smelled a masculine scent, a strong man's smell. A big man. The woman felt dizzy and her breathing became constricted. Ella could feel the man's breath on her cheek.

"Who is he? Is he an enemy? Please, my legs, move, please. I'm going to die of fear."

Ella was no longer in her right mind. Her panic attack and exhaustion were merging at the same time. She couldn't move from where she was standing. Her feet were stuck, but her whole body was trembling.

"Get out of here now." The man in a husky, howling voice told her. But Ella couldn't speak. Even her legs wouldn't move. It seemed like her whole body had turned to stone.

"I said get out, Miss," the man shouted in his deep tone. How could she speak? His voice was nerve-wracking. It was full, deep, and scary.

Ella was even more shocked. She suddenly burst into tears out of fear and helplessness. Her tears almost turned the whole system of the man in front of her upside down. She thought he was her "hero," but why was he scaring her? Why did he seem angry at her? Because of her helplessness, Ella unconsciously said words she didn't know would come out of her mouth.

"Help me, please," Ella said, but she didn't say it out loud. She didn't know what was stuck in her throat. Then more tears flowed from the woman's eyes. Her heartbeat was slowing down.

"Oh, Jesus, I'm having a panic attack again," Ella whispered, closing her eyes. Whatever happens, happens.

"Please, somebody help. Help me, please," the woman's mind screamed.

The man in front of Ella almost went crazy with anger at that moment. He wanted to break all the bones of these men and bury them alive. But what made Matt even angrier and crazier was the fact that he could smell the woman's fear. The woman was terrified, and her heartbeat was almost fading.

Earlier, when he saw her from afar and smelled that her life was in danger, he lost his mind. He didn't think, he just did what he was doing, even though Toffee was trying to stop him and reminding him of the consequences. And at this moment, like an event in his past, it was something that shouldn't happen again.

Now he was in front of this woman with the most beautiful scent. The woman with this scent was terrified. He could hear her heartbeat, fear, and terror, and it was making Matt's blood boil.

The woman couldn't move. She was calling out to him, asking for help. But Matt couldn't approach her. He couldn't get too close to the woman with the intoxicating blood. He couldn't. He couldn't touch her. If he did, it would be the end of his glorious days. If he touched her, it would be the end of him too. If he touched her, he would have to live far away from her. But with his powerful senses, he could see the panic on this woman's face.

"You are welcome, I'm glad my friend Toffee took care of you, and I can see that now. Matt answered with a smile. He finds her more attractive just by stuttering. "Oh geez, please give me more strength," Matt whispered as he met her gaze. He's doing thousands of things to control himself, not to be tempted to follow his boiling libido, especially since the woman is becoming sexier with her appearance now. "Ahh, Miss, you can speak your native language, I can understand a little, but I can't say it well." Matt said. His eyes are full of burning passion, staring at the woman's innocent face. "So, it was you, it's you? It is really you, oh, yeah it's you...." Ella said with a wide smile. She couldn't hide the happiness she felt now that she had found her knight and shining armor, or rather, her Superman, because he had saved her twice. She was so happy that she not only found him but also got to know him, and now she w

Oh sh*t, Matt cursed as the young woman rested in his arms. He couldn't blame her. He saw the fear and utter confusion of the woman. Her trauma wasn't a joke, and anyone would faint from fear. The young woman almost got r@ped if he hadn't intervened. The woman was probably in shock. Matt didn't hesitate for even a second. He lifted her up and whistled. His allies were just around, standing by for any possible danger that might come. That was his life, always alert, always alert, always in fear. But what Matt hated most was when others got involved.Suddenly, a red car arrived. Then a man quickly got out and was about to assist Matt, but Matt stopped him."No body should touch her," Matt said and carried the woman to the back seat."I'll take her home. Let's meet at her house. Take care of my mess."Matt said. Which meant the men he fought. He didn't really finish them off; they just lost consciousness. Although one was wounded, Matt tried not to hit a vital organ. As much as possible,

Even after the danger she had been through, her imagination still ran wild. But still, she felt safe in his arms, that was what mattered."You're crazy, Ella. You're still flirting even after what just happened," she said to herself. "Let me remind you, Miss Ella Marie Lucas, that you almost got raped. And you're flirting like you want your Superman to rape you. You're crazy," her mind chided. "Well, can you blame me?" Ella said to herself. Ella felt the man lay her on a soft bed and cover her with a blanket. Then he sat beside her and sighed deeply, several times in a row."I know you're awake, Miss. You can open your eyes, you're safe now." Matt teased his woman and stared at her intensely. He knew she was awake, he had known it since he picked her up. When Ella heard him say that, she felt embarrassed. So he knew she was just pretending to be asleep."Ugh, so embarrassing," she thought, not wanting to open her eyes. She was too embarrassed to face him. "It's fine, I know you're

The alley reeked of stale beer and something far worse—a cloying sweetness that clung to the air like a shroud. Matt, hidden in the shadows, watched the woman. Her terror wasn't just visible; it pulsed, a frantic rhythm against the suffocating darkness. He saw the stark white of her eyes, wide and desperate in the gloom, felt the frantic hammering of her heart as a physical vibration in the air. His own senses screamed—the acrid bite of alcohol warred with a sickeningly familiar chemical scent, a predator's perfume promising violation. A primal rage, hot and brutal, clawed at his control. He moved like a wraith, circling the battered car, his muscles coiled springs of lethal potential. The sight of her exposed skin, her vulnerability laid bare in the harsh light of the approaching motorcycle, ignited a furious inferno within him. He slammed his fist into the car hood, the metallic clang a tiny explosion in the oppressive silence. "Damn it," he snarled, the word a guttural rasp.

The alley was a tomb of shadows, and Ella was a small, fragile thing trapped within it. The air hung heavy with the stench of stale beer and something far worse – a sickeningly sweet chemical scent that promised oblivion. Fear, raw and visceral, clawed at her throat, stealing her breath, constricting her chest until each gasp felt like a monumental effort. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the suffocating darkness. Her eyes, wide and desperate, darted around, searching for an escape, a glimmer of hope in the oppressive gloom, but finding only the cold, unyielding brick walls closing in. The hands around her mouth were like iron bands, crushing the air from her lungs, stealing the ability to scream, to plead, to fight back. Each strained breath was a desperate battle against suffocation, a silent scream trapped within her constricted chest. Her body trembled uncontrollably, not just from the cold, but from a primal terror that seeped into her bo

Matt, hidden behind the rusting hulk of a discarded car, felt the tremor of Ella's fear as a physical wave. He heard the frantic rhythm of her heartbeat, a frantic drumbeat against the night's silence. He'd left her deliberately, a calculated risk to confirm his suspicions, but the gnawing anxiety was a bitter taste in his mouth. He remained motionless, his senses hyper-alert, his eyes like burning coals in the gloom, scanning the shadows with a fierce intensity born of worry and a simmering rage. The air crackled with unspoken tension. He scanned the surroundings, his gaze sharp and unwavering, searching for any hint of an impending attack. A fresh wave of glacial terror washed over Ella. It wasn't simply the darkness; it was the suffocating, unyielding silence, punctuated only by the frantic, thumping rhythm of her own heart, a desperate tattoo against the stillness of the night. Clawing, primordial panic constricted her throat, a sinister vise squeezing the air from her lungs. She
