Do you feel it?

Jovita's POV

Jayden goes to stand by the window.

“I'm not sure you want to know about my past Jovita, it's too dark, even for me”. His voice is low and broken.

I walk up to him and wrap my arms around his waist, and I feel his body still, then relax against me. I could hear his heartbeat thumping in my ear.

He turned to face me, taking both of my hands in his. “Promise me you'd stay even after everything you hear”, he asked.

His hazel eyes searched mine, and I could see the fear deep within.

“I promise”.

“Come with me”.

He leads me to the bed, and lies down, instructing me to do the same. I look at him, unsure. The dark lust I see in his eyes doesn't make me any less anxious.

“I'm not going to fuck you Jovita, at least not without your consent”, he says, laughing.

“Fine”.

I lie down beside him, and he immediately wraps his arms around me, pulling the sheets over us.

“Close your eyes”, he whispers.

I obey, though I already have a thousand and one questions I want to ask.

“Do you fee
