Olivia's pov.

“That piece of shit!” I stormed the living room, thrashing every object present on the high table. My entire being burned in total anger, fuming. My wolf growled and snarled, ready to attack.

I heard the footsteps of the maids and caught a quick glance of them as they scurried away, fright folded up on their faces. Luckily for them, they were the least of my problems.

“You shouldn't get all riled up because of Elian.” I recognized the voice to be Oliver.

“I swear to God, I'm going to crush both of them.” I stood back up to my feet, my eyes getting lost into space.

“I think that would be a waste of time. I mean, are you sure he's really your mate? We don't want to go barking at the wrong tree.”

His words caused my thoughts to stop immediately, and I turned to take a proper look at him. At first, I burst into a menacing chuckle, trying my best to stifle the anger at his statement.

“You're my brother, yet you're so dumb. How on earth is that possible?” I questioned, e

Elena's pov. “Elena,” I heard the call. It was loud enough. It was disturbing enough. And the only thing that could play in my head was who had just called me? “Elena, wake up.” My eyes flashed open the moment I heard the call. One quick observation was that I was no longer in my room nor was I on my bed. “Where am I?” The question left my lips immediately as I felt my face fold up on a wrinkle. Unfortunately, there was no response. Not even from the voice that had been calling. I realized almost immediately that everywhere was equally dark. I suddenly found myself walking towards an end in the middle of the darkness and a place I was sure I've never been. Neither did I even know where I was. But I succeeded in finding the switch attached to the end of the wall I had walked to and soon enough, everywhere was lit. “Weird.” I muttered to myself. The light didn't come up immediately. It kept blinking continuously, showing little fragments of light until the full light

Elian's pov.“Your pack is dying as the day goes by. So, you need Olivia's alliance. If other rival packs find out how weak you are as an alpha, they'd come knocking at your door.” Elder Dunbar opened up just before he walked out. “And what makes you think I'm a weak alpha?” “Every part of you reeks of fear, disturbances and most importantly, weakness.”“I can't get back with Olivia if that's what you're trying to insinuate. I choose my peace over anything else.” I fired. “Peace?” He snorted.“I'll find another way to protect my pack from any external attacks. It doesn't have to be all about Olivia. She can't be the only deal.” I argued, my blood boiling like it was about to burst open its kettle. “Are you just dumb? Or you're just being stubborn?” Elder Dunbar suddenly grabbed me by the collar. His hands were heavy while his eyes widened and darkened with anger. “You've been waiting on your damn sister for years now which I believe is the reason you've been stalling on claiming

Elian's pov. I completely forgot about Elena and my thoughts were replaced with the council of elders. I hastened my steps towards them because I had to know what could have given them such audacity to threaten me in such a manner. Especially in the presence of my guards. “You don't need to go in with me. Head back to your duty posts.” I turned to stop the guards who were behind me the moment I got to the door. They stopped to stare at each other, their lips slightly parted and their eyes filled with curiosity. “The elders are not threats from our external pack. So, you can be rest assured that I'll be fine.” I went on saying, my eyes darting from one guard to the other. I guess I was throwing an urgency that they needed to believe. One of them eventually let out a deep sigh, his shoulders slumping down in defeat. “You're supposed to have a guard with you. They each have their guards.” He protested. Then, I took a pause to reflect on his words. It was then I realized it had tak

Elena's pov.His question was absurd. It was the last thing I wanted to hear from anyone. Even him. Who was I? I didn't even know who I was to give a proper response to him. Everything felt like I was just a maid tossed from one pack to another. “Who exactly are you?” He asked again, his voice slipping freely until my head. My eyes couldn't leave him as much as I tried to. Those eyes, I was not blind to see that they held anxiety, and a kind of long lasting pain. I already knew his position in his pack. But just like him, I wanted to know who he truly was. Why did he make me feel the way I felt, like something was missing inside me?Whenever I was around him, I couldn't help but feel that void crying out inside of me. “Elena,” Again, he called back my attention from the whirlwind of deep thoughts. “I'm sorry alpha. But I'm completely lost on your sudden question. You already know my story. What else are you expecting to know about me?” I found the courage to ask. This time, avo

Elian’s pov.“Tell me the truth. Are you fucking her now?” Her words flew out of her lips. And it only made my head reel in disgust. I turned to take a proper look at her since she was behind me. The only look that could curl up my face seeing how she folded her hands with a deep frown was pure disdain. “You should take that back.” I growled, my fury drawing out for the first time in a long time with her. “Tell me why. Is it because you're scared of losing me?” She asked. “I am an alpha, Olivia. I don't bathe in the pool of filth.” I thundered, feeling my veins almost popping out of my neck. My eyes searched hers deeply, finding a sudden reason to get her to stop asking stupid questions and probably just leave. “If that is the case, why then did you have to save her? You could have just let her be dealt with. But no of course. You chose to humiliate me. So much for someone who doesn't swim in dirt.” She hissed and walked to sit right on the bed, behind me. The loud creaking that
