“I, Elena Black, daughter of Gabe Black, accept your rejection” I said, sitting on the floor as the tears rolled down my eyes. The physical pain was no longer there but I was broken. “From today, I, Alpha North, declare Elena Black, daughter of Gabe Black, as a slave to my mate and Luna, Leila.” he announced. *** Elena Black was a wolfless and weak. Degraded by everyone, she lost every hope of ever belonging or finding a mate who would accept her but Alpha North changed that. She felt relieved and excited but on the day she found out she was pregnant, she was rejected and the one person she loved rejected and made her a slave to the woman he got married to. When she felt she had lost hope, it came in the form of Alpha Elian, the Alpha of Emberfall pack who called her his mate. He retracted that statement soon after but refused to let her go. Her situation only became worse and she wished for anything apart from this life of chaos but what happens when her fated mate retraces his steps to undo all he had done? Would the rejected slave be considered a Luna or would she forever be placed on the ground and stepped on? Elena must fight but would she win?

I got into the pack house and I was met with a fleet of cars parked all around. Was there an event going on? I should be aware of this as I was Alpha North’s mate. The guards who usually bow to greet me whenever I stood before them, didn't. I waved the thoughts of disrespect as something suspicious was happening. I got to Alpha North's chambers but he wasn't in. I was wondering where he could have been when I saw a maid passing by the corridor. “Mabel, do you know where the Alpha might be?” I asked. She hesitated before answering, “Yes, he should be down at the hall, aren't you aware?” “At the hall?” I frowned. “I'm not aware of that. What's happening there?” I asked but she bowed. “I beg to take my leave” she said and I nodded, excusing her. I brushed off the thought of something bad happening. I was excited to let my mate know I'm back with great news. Maybe esteemed guests arrived for our mating ceremony happening soon. I knew he would be just as happy as I was with the news. I left his chambers, stopping at mine to adjust my hair and dress. If I was right, he would be with guests and I need to look presentable. I was his soon to be Luna. Afterwards, I left for the hall immediately. The large doors of the hall were already open and I stepped in, greeted by scornful looks from the guests scattered around. I could not understand why. My heart dropped, shocked at the sight in front of me as I looked to the side. On the makeshift altar, Alpha North stood beside the daughter of one of the council members, Lord Gryphon with their hands locked on each other's. She had a smug on her face as I approached. “Elena, so you finally came, took you long enough” he said with a hateful look etched on his face. “What do you mean, my love?” I asked. My heart was racing and my mind was whispering so many possibilities but I didn't like them. I didn't want to believe what was happening. Alpha North ignored my question as he started addressing the crowd. “We are gathered here today, for me to name Leila here as my Luna” he started, but I couldn't help but interrupt him. “No” I rushed forward but before I could get to the altar, two guards blocked my path. “I am your mate. She cannot be your Luna. I am” I said, tears threatening to leave my eyes. Still he ignored me and continued. “Leila, here has been chosen to be my Luna. She has all the qualities a Luna possesses” he said. “I am your mate!” I yelled, my tears dropping. I knew I should not yell. He was the Alpha and yelling was seen as disrespect but I could not help it. His eyes came on me, filled with hatred. “It is foolish of you to think I will make you, a wolfless omega, my mate” he said. “I…” I bit my tongue but continued. “I do” I lied “Show us your wolf” He said, looking around. “I’m sure everyone is eager to see” My heart started beating twice as fast as it was before, I couldn't believe my secret got out like this. I trusted Alpha North with it. He said it was okay so what changed? What happened? I couldn't do anything. I couldn't move because I knew I didn't have a wolf. “Judging by her reluctance, she doesn't have a wolf. She cannot rule this pack as a wolfless Luna. Leila here not only does she have a wolf but she is strong and can help fight in battle” I could not believe it was my mate, Alpha North saying this. The very man that promised to stand by me even if the council refused our union. He told me I had nothing to worry about. He promised me! “I want a Luna who is strong enough to rule by my side,” he continued. “Therefore, I, Alpha North, Alpha of Ravens Pack, hereby reject you, Elena Black, daughter of Gabe Black, as my mate” he said, his gaze staring into my soul. My heart shattered. My entire body ached from within. It felt like a spear went through my heart. I was to accept his rejection to feel better but I could not. How could he say this? How could he do this to me? I thought he loved me? I won't accept his rejection. Alpha North would never do this. I held my chest, trying my best to ease the pain “We are fated mates. We are to remain together. You promised-” I could not finish. I fell to my knees, the pain only increasing as I resisted. I shook my head. “You can't do this Alpha North, please” I begged “Accept the rejection, Elena, we can't work anymore. You won't stop feeling the pain until you accept my rejection.” He said, not caring if I was in pain or not. Not caring if his words hurt me or not. I couldn't accept his rejection despite the pain I was feeling deep within my chest. I just couldn't. I was carrying his child. “Accept the rejection, now!” he roared, his voice louder than before. “I can't do it. I'm pregnant” I said. I couldn't help but notice the shocked expression on everyone's face, a displeased expression etched on Liela’s face as I spoke but I didn't care about that. All I cared about was what Alpha North felt but his expression remained the same; uncaring and indifferent. “Accept the rejection now or be banished from this pack with your child” he said I couldn't believe it was Alpha North who was saying all these things to me. Where did his love go? Did he never love me? In front of everyone, he speaks like he never told me how much he wanted to be with me. Even his own child, he rejects too? I couldn't let my child suffer because of me, I had to accept his rejection. “I, Elena Black, daughter of Gabe Black, accept your rejection” I said, sitting on the floor as the tears rolled down my eyes. The physical pain was no longer there but I was broken I couldn't believe something like this would happen. I thought I would never have a mate of my own. I thought I would be alone in this world but Alpha North came into my life and made me believe I could have a mate even though I was wolfless and promised me I would never be alone. I always doubted myself and he told me he loved me the way I was and I was strong in his eyes. But now I believed it was all a lie. How could he betray me like this? I trusted him with everything in me and he rejected me before the pack. One of the council members, Lord Atlas, stood up and spoke. “If she isn't your mate and Luna anymore, what use is she to the pack, Alpha?” he said Another Lord among the council, Lord Liam, stood and spoke also. “She carries your child, Alpha North. What should we do with her?” he said Another Lord spoke, one I don't recall his name. “She should be banished from this Pack” he said, looking at me with disgust. I looked at him with horror in my face. I could not be banished. I had nowhere to go. “I have heard all which you have said” he said, Leila tugged at his arms. “I need a slave and I think she would be perfect for the job” Leila said with a grin at me. My eyes widened, glancing at Alpha North who had no expression on his face. A slave? I could not be a slave. “No, I don't want that,” I said, shaking my head. “From today, I, Alpha North, declare Elena Black, daughter of Gabe Black, as a slave to my mate and Luna, Leila.” he announced.Elena's pov. “Elena,” I heard the call. It was loud enough. It was disturbing enough. And the only thing that could play in my head was who had just called me? “Elena, wake up.” My eyes flashed open the moment I heard the call. One quick observation was that I was no longer in my room nor was I on my bed. “Where am I?” The question left my lips immediately as I felt my face fold up on a wrinkle. Unfortunately, there was no response. Not even from the voice that had been calling. I realized almost immediately that everywhere was equally dark. I suddenly found myself walking towards an end in the middle of the darkness and a place I was sure I've never been. Neither did I even know where I was. But I succeeded in finding the switch attached to the end of the wall I had walked to and soon enough, everywhere was lit. “Weird.” I muttered to myself. The light didn't come up immediately. It kept blinking continuously, showing little fragments of light until the full light
Olivia's pov.“That piece of shit!” I stormed the living room, thrashing every object present on the high table. My entire being burned in total anger, fuming. My wolf growled and snarled, ready to attack. I heard the footsteps of the maids and caught a quick glance of them as they scurried away, fright folded up on their faces. Luckily for them, they were the least of my problems. “You shouldn't get all riled up because of Elian.” I recognized the voice to be Oliver. “I swear to God, I'm going to crush both of them.” I stood back up to my feet, my eyes getting lost into space. “I think that would be a waste of time. I mean, are you sure he's really your mate? We don't want to go barking at the wrong tree.” His words caused my thoughts to stop immediately, and I turned to take a proper look at him. At first, I burst into a menacing chuckle, trying my best to stifle the anger at his statement. “You're my brother, yet you're so dumb. How on earth is that possible?” I questioned, e
Elian's pov.“Your pack is dying as the day goes by. So, you need Olivia's alliance. If other rival packs find out how weak you are as an alpha, they'd come knocking at your door.” Elder Dunbar opened up just before he walked out. “And what makes you think I'm a weak alpha?” “Every part of you reeks of fear, disturbances and most importantly, weakness.”“I can't get back with Olivia if that's what you're trying to insinuate. I choose my peace over anything else.” I fired. “Peace?” He snorted.“I'll find another way to protect my pack from any external attacks. It doesn't have to be all about Olivia. She can't be the only deal.” I argued, my blood boiling like it was about to burst open its kettle. “Are you just dumb? Or you're just being stubborn?” Elder Dunbar suddenly grabbed me by the collar. His hands were heavy while his eyes widened and darkened with anger. “You've been waiting on your damn sister for years now which I believe is the reason you've been stalling on claiming
Elian's pov. I completely forgot about Elena and my thoughts were replaced with the council of elders. I hastened my steps towards them because I had to know what could have given them such audacity to threaten me in such a manner. Especially in the presence of my guards. “You don't need to go in with me. Head back to your duty posts.” I turned to stop the guards who were behind me the moment I got to the door. They stopped to stare at each other, their lips slightly parted and their eyes filled with curiosity. “The elders are not threats from our external pack. So, you can be rest assured that I'll be fine.” I went on saying, my eyes darting from one guard to the other. I guess I was throwing an urgency that they needed to believe. One of them eventually let out a deep sigh, his shoulders slumping down in defeat. “You're supposed to have a guard with you. They each have their guards.” He protested. Then, I took a pause to reflect on his words. It was then I realized it had tak
Elena's pov.His question was absurd. It was the last thing I wanted to hear from anyone. Even him. Who was I? I didn't even know who I was to give a proper response to him. Everything felt like I was just a maid tossed from one pack to another. “Who exactly are you?” He asked again, his voice slipping freely until my head. My eyes couldn't leave him as much as I tried to. Those eyes, I was not blind to see that they held anxiety, and a kind of long lasting pain. I already knew his position in his pack. But just like him, I wanted to know who he truly was. Why did he make me feel the way I felt, like something was missing inside me?Whenever I was around him, I couldn't help but feel that void crying out inside of me. “Elena,” Again, he called back my attention from the whirlwind of deep thoughts. “I'm sorry alpha. But I'm completely lost on your sudden question. You already know my story. What else are you expecting to know about me?” I found the courage to ask. This time, avo
Elian’s pov.“Tell me the truth. Are you fucking her now?” Her words flew out of her lips. And it only made my head reel in disgust. I turned to take a proper look at her since she was behind me. The only look that could curl up my face seeing how she folded her hands with a deep frown was pure disdain. “You should take that back.” I growled, my fury drawing out for the first time in a long time with her. “Tell me why. Is it because you're scared of losing me?” She asked. “I am an alpha, Olivia. I don't bathe in the pool of filth.” I thundered, feeling my veins almost popping out of my neck. My eyes searched hers deeply, finding a sudden reason to get her to stop asking stupid questions and probably just leave. “If that is the case, why then did you have to save her? You could have just let her be dealt with. But no of course. You chose to humiliate me. So much for someone who doesn't swim in dirt.” She hissed and walked to sit right on the bed, behind me. The loud creaking that
