Chapter 35: Unbelievable

Kahlan POV

A sigh escaped my mouth unknowingly. Well, I was initially anticipating it. I knew Mathias was going to be adamant about Eric being the culprit.

I wasn't surprised anyways because I was like that too. I guess I have a long way to go. I will just have to keep pushing it until he believes me.

"See, she's not shocked. She knew who did it! But she's doing nothing about it!" Sonia stated, half screaming.

The girl is annoying me and I might have decided to do something if not because I have to convince Mathias before Eric gets back. I would have to introduce the two anyways. So, they must stay on good terms.

"You better shut your mouth there, Sonia, or I shut it for you," I warned sternly before I looked back at Mathias. "I know, Mathias and that was in fact my belief. I have always thought Eric killed them but he didn't. I got to find the truth and in fact, he doesn't even know who did. He's currently looking for the culprit," I explained, while silently praying he accepts it.
