At the gym..

“Greg, why do you have her in your holiday house?” Sonia questioned as she watched him on the treadmill.

“Is this related to work?”

“No, but– “

“Then leave it be.”

Sonia swallowed the bitter taste in her mouth. How could she leave it be? Another woman had effortlessly stolen what she’s been watching out for, for years! Did Meera know the sacrifices she made to be able to stick by his side? Did Meera know how many times she schemed against the females around him to be able to become the only woman around him?

Was Greg someone Meera could have? How dare she?!

Sonia took a deep breath and a moment later, she was calm and elegant like she’s always been.

“Mrs. Carl won’t like her. She’d be pissed if you don’t marry Rosie.” She wasn’t fond of Rosie either, but Rosie was a small matter compared to Meera. If she could talk him out of his stupid idea of being with Meera, she could also make him shove Rosie away.

“You’re suspended,” Greg spat without looking back at her.
