Liya took a deep breath, clutching her bag as she stood right in front of Kay’s Institute. She didn’t know what she was supposed to expect from the place or Kay himself. She wasn’t even properly dressed for something like that. She was supposed to wear something that looked like she was there to enroll in the classes, but she couldn’t even bring herself to do that.

More than anyone, she knew how annoying, unserious people were going to make reputed people like Kay feel. And she was there for the drama and of course, to get the information that she was supposed to get out of him. That was what she lived for.

Aldo had even given her the liberty and promise to be able to choose something if she eventually got it done. She corrected him immediately, and let him know that she was going to do it all at the end of the day. There was nothing that was going to stop her.

She was Aldo Marino’s partner. She wasn’t supposed to be weak. At a time like this, the only thing she was supposed to be wa

Aldo watched Liya as she prepared to finally head for the club. He felt a sense of loss as he looked at her, but he couldn’t place it. As she looked up at him, she could tell what he was feeling, and she smiled as she dumped the clothes that she was folding. She walked over to him, holding her feelings together. “You don’t have to bother, Aldo. It’s not like I’m going to go away for a long time,” she said, and Aldo stuffed his hands into his pockets. “As long as you make sure you aren’t serving customers too well, you should do just fine.”Liya frowned immediately. “What do you mean?” She asked. “People who serve properly are always made to stay in the club. Damian provides the apartments. And every other thing with it. Feeding, clothing, he handles it all.”Liya felt a shiver run through her spine. That was one thing that she wasn’t expecting to hear. She thought she was just going to go there, and every other thing was going to come easily. But it turned out that it wasn’t that w

  • Desperate Measures   CHAPTER 62: Office Kill

Aldo sat in his office as he massaged his head. He knew that his life had never been like this. There was a time when he had countless people on his side. If only he knew that whatever he did was not going to be enough to keep them by his side when things got difficult, he would have known to keep his distance. But he didn't. He let all of them in on his life, and look where he ended up. It wasn’t even an experience that he wanted to talk about. And that was why whenever Aria brought it up, he was always annoyed. He preferred keeping matters like that at bay. But she always liked to bring it up. He couldn’t keep trying to correct her. Another reason he was thankful for having Liya around. She always seemed to make things better at the house with her quirky jokes and the banging body that she usually hid behind all those clothes. He opened his eyes immediately, at the thought of her body. He didn’t want to have to start jerking off there in the office. He was very much ready to do wh

  • Desperate Measures   CHAPTER 61: Working Well

Both of them had spent the rest of the night talking, and Liya barely got any sleep but as she got up that morning, she couldn’t get rid of the fulfilled feeling she felt. She felt like everything was working out for her. As Aldo dropped her a few buildings away from Kay’s Institute, he made sure she didn’t leave the car without kissing her. Liya could barely think straight as she walked into the building. This time, she didn’t even take the time to look at the receptionists. She just walked right to the elevator, and right into Kay’s office. She knocked, and he asked her to come in. He was wearing the same thing that he wore the day before. He gave her a small smile. “Miss Irene. You are quite early.”Liya forced herself to give him a smile of her own. Then he looked at her from head to toe just as she had been wanting him to do. “Why are you dressed like that?” he asked, and she looked like she was clueless.“Is there another way that I’m supposed to be dressed?” She asked, and

  • Desperate Measures   CHAPTER 60: First time

“How was it?” Aria asked as soon as Liya walked into the house. Liya dumped her bag on the couch. Even if she wasn’t one to be a slob, she didn’t have a choice with how exhausted she was. Aria carried the bag immediately, understanding how tired she was. “You know you didn’t even have to do this. Right?” “And then what happens?” Liya asked. “Aldo would lose everything. According to him, Damian took important documents and flash drives. He might never recover if we don’t get those things back.”Aria nodded. “He told me everything. And with the way you are going, it’s probably best that you don’t even know everything. He was right.”Liya frowned, as she turned to look at Aria. “What do you mean?” She asked, and Aria swallowed hard. “Those weren’t the only things that were taken, Liya. But they were spread. Between Damian and the Salvatore family. The Salvatores barely know how Aldo is. He has gotten everything they took back.”Liya wanted to punch the chair she was sitting on. She h

  • Desperate Measures   CHAPTER 58: Good Plans

“What do you mean by you want to help?” Aldo asked as soon as the words left her mouth. “I’m doing everything I can to get you out of trouble. And you just want to walk right into it?” She could barely hold back her smile. She didn’t know what it was about him when he was getting worried about her. “You might have been into this before I have, but you seem to be getting old in this game, Aldo Marino,” she whispered, and she noticed how his eyes narrowed. There was something in them. A look that made her knees buckle. He took a step towards her, and she took one. She gasped as she felt her back hit the wall. “I’m getting old in the game?” he asked her, with his nose almost pressed to hers. Her chest was pressed to his as well, and she could barely breathe. She felt like she was going to break if she did as much as take in air. “Yes,” she whispered, inhaling and letting his scent take control of her senses. “Now, tell me what plans you have,” he said, and she opened her mouth
