Luxian’s POV
It’s been a week since I started working under Mr. Damien, and he hasn’t missed a single chance to make my life miserable. Just yesterday, he sent me downtown three times in a row to get coffee—just because he didn’t like the barista’s face that day. But when his eyes turn red… he becomes a completely different person. Last night, he nearly drowned me in his pool. Just as I was slipping under, his eyes shifted back to black—and he saved me. The only words he muttered were: “You made me this way.” I sat quietly in a café waiting for my order when Mr. Damien walked in. “I’ve been calling you. Why didn’t you pick up?” he asked coldly. “I didn’t see your call… I’m sorry, sir.” “Just shut up and follow me.” He turned and walked away. “But… I came to get your coffee—” “If coffee’s more important to you, stay and lose your job,” he snapped, not even looking back. I sighed and hurried after him. ⸻ We arrived at an abandoned building, and he led me into a dark, grimy room. A man was tied up inside, bloodied and barely conscious. My stomach twisted. I looked up at Mr. Damien, horrified. “Pick up the gun and kill him, Lu—Luxian,” he said calmly, almost bored. “What…? I-I can’t do that!” I stepped back, but he grabbed my arm, stopping me. “Leave me alone! I can’t kill someone who’s done nothing to me!” “If you want me to leave you and your father alone—kill him.” His lips twisted into a cruel smile. “After all… you’ve killed me before.” His eyes blazed red. His teeth… sharpened, almost beast-like. “And I know your little secret. Your toxic lifestyle, your ticking clock,” he hissed. “Kill him—or I make your life even worse.” “F**k you! I’m not toxic, you crazy bastard!” I yanked my arm free. “I’m not whoever you think I am—I’m not this ‘Lu’! I’m a guy!” “Don’t lie to me, Luxian!” he growled, running a hand through his hair. “You remember. I can see it in your eyes.” “I don’t know what you’re talking about! I quit! Do whatever you want—tell my dad, I don’t care anymore!” I stormed out of the room. ⸻ Outside, I cursed under my breath. I had no signal out here, no car, and no clue where I was. My only option was to walk toward the town I saw on the way here. A gunshot rang out behind me. I flinched. He actually did it. “I wonder what that poor guy did,” I whispered bitterly and kept walking. ⸻ Damien’s POV I chuckled darkly. “He actually walked out on me…” Maybe I’d pushed too far—but part of me didn’t care. Since the day I almost died, something’s been… wrong. Voices in my head. Rage I can’t explain. I’ve learned to live with it. Even embrace it. I left the building, expecting to see Luxian gone—but I found him sitting by the roadside like a lost puppy. I laughed loudly. “Should I leave you there or—want a ride?” He ignored me. I drove off… but only for a moment. Then I reversed back, just as he stood up, glaring daggers at me. “Where did you think you were going?” I smirked as he got in. “Home.” “You’re so stupid, you know that?” “At least I don’t make people do my dirty work.” “Dumbass. I wish I’d found you dead. You’d save us all the trouble.” I looked over at him. “You know what, Mr. Damien? Whatever Lu did to you—it’s not my business. I quit. I never want to see you again.” “You don’t have that luxury,” I snapped. “Leave, and I’ll ruin you. I’ll ruin your father. I’ll make your life a living hell.” He didn’t reply. He didn’t need to. His face told me everything. ⸻ Luxian’s POV I stared at him, numb. How did it come to this? Just a month ago, I was celebrating graduation. Now I have one year to live… and a maniac boss thinks I’m the ghost of his dead ex. When we arrived at my house, Damien smiled. “Take tomorrow off. We’re going on a business trip after that.” I watched his car disappear before dragging myself inside. Dad was cooking. “I’m almost done,” he called cheerfully. “Go freshen up. Dinner’s ready soon.” I barely made it to my bed before falling asleep, fully clothed. ⸻ Dream I opened my eyes to find a girl standing in front of me. She looked exactly like me—only… female. Same hair. Same eyes. “Nice to finally meet you, Luxian,” she said with a soft smile. “You must be Lu,” I muttered. “Where am I?” “Come,” she whispered, grabbing my hand. Suddenly, we were in a room. I saw a younger version of Lu talking to a woman—her mother? “Lucy, give him the poison. We’ll take care of the rest,” her mother said, handing her a small bottle. “I can’t, Mother. Damien’s a good person. I love him. I can’t betray him,” Lu cried. “You’re a fool. He’s a demon. He doesn’t love you—he’s using you.” “He’s not like them. He’s never hurt me.” “Your loyalty belongs to your kind. Not some bloodsucking freak.” “But I—” “Choose: your people, or him.” Her mother stormed off. Lu collapsed onto the bed in tears, shaking. ⸻ I turned to her, the real Lu, as we stood there watching the memory. “So you really did it?” I asked her coldly. “You poisoned him?” “I had no choice…” she whispered. “There’s always a choice. You say you loved him—but you betrayed him. That’s not love. And now, I’m paying for what you did.” I looked away from her, disgusted. “You betrayed him, Lu. And now he’s turning your hell into mine.”Luxian POVI didn’t look back. Not because I didn’t care—But because I was scared of what I’d see if I did.I ran barefoot through the forest, disoriented, exhausted. My body still ached from the transformation, trembling with guilt. The guilt of leaving him—Damien—alone with his pain. The world around me spun like a carousel out of control. Then I heard it—Damien’s scream tearing through the trees. My body tensed. But I didn’t stop.I ran until I burst out onto the roadside, lungs burning, eyes stinging with tears I didn’t realize were falling.I fumbled through the pocket of Damien’s coat and pulled out his phone, hands shaking.I dialed Cris.He picked up on the first ring.“Is Damien okay?” His voice was too calm. Too controlled—like he already knew something.“He’s… he’s hurting himself. Please—come help him!” My voice cracked.“I’m on my way. Just hang on,” he said. Then the line went dead.⸻A Few Minutes Later…Headlights sliced through the fog.A black SUV screeched to
Luxian – POVI keep hearing that same voice echoing in my head, repeating the same words:You are worthless. You don’t deserve Damien’s love. You betrayed him.All I could do was sit and cry, taking in the pain—the endless transformation tearing me apart. My bones kept breaking and rearranging, over and over again. It never stopped. The pain kept coming.“Your screams made it so easy to find you,” came the voice of that strange man.“If you didn’t want me to find you, you wouldn’t be shouting, my love,” he mocked, gripping my arm and yanking me to my feet.I tried dragging my limping body away, but it was useless. I was too weak. I couldn’t even save myself. He dragged me roughly along the forest path. I could feel the bruises forming with each stumble. I screamed for help, but no one came. I was completely alone. Then he suddenly stopped and let me fall flat on the ground.“You’re not supposed to be here,” he said—but there was a trace of fear in his voice now.I looked up.Damien wa
Luxian – POVThe car ride was silent.Damien’s hands gripped the steering wheel like he was trying to crush it, knuckles white, his eyes faintly glowing. I kept stealing glances at him, searching for the version of him I recognized… but this one felt distant. Cold.Or scared.I finally broke the silence.“You said someone was coming. Who?”He didn’t answer. Just kept driving deeper into the woods. No signal. No light. Just trees swallowing us whole.“Damien.”He sighed sharply through his nose, jaw clenched.“I don’t know who they sent this time.”“This time?”I turned to him fully. “You’ve done this before. Run like this. Haven’t you?”He slammed the brakes.I jolted forward, my heart jumping into my throat.“What the hell—!”He turned toward me, eyes now completely red—but he wasn’t seeing me. He was staring through me. Like I was someone else.“Shut the f**k up, Lucy. You talk too much—it’s pissing me off.”My entire body stiffened.“Don’t you dare call me Lucy,” I snapped. “Don’t
Damien’s POVAfter Cris walked into the cabin, I rested my head against the steering wheel, trying to organize my thoughts.Lately, my mind has been a warzone, and I could feel it again—that creeping sensation in my chest. My demon side… clawing to take over. But I didn’t have long to reflect.Cris suddenly burst out of the cabin, rushing toward the car.“Where is Luxian?” he asked, panicked.I blinked, straightening.,”What are you talking about? I left him in the cabin!,”Without another word, I jumped out of the car and ran toward the cabin, Cris right behind me.We tore through the place, checking every room. Nothing. No trace of him.Except a broken vase on the floor.“That silly little rat,” I muttered, slamming my fist into the wall hard enough to crack the wood.“Are you sure you left him here?” Cris asked cautiously.I shot him a glare.“Where the hell would he go?”He didn’t answer. I turned and started pacing.“He’s just like Lu. He left. I wanted to believe in him, and thi
Damien – POV I pulled into the club’s parking lot, my heart pounding. Headlights cut through the night fog—and then I saw him. Cris was slumped in his car, shoulders shaking, face pale and drenched in tears. My chest tightened. Without thinking, I yanked open his car door and looked down at him. “Get out.” He looked up, broken and trembling. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to—” “Shut up,” I said, cutting him off. “You’re coming with me.” I pulled him out and into a rough hug. It was stiff, awkward, but overflowing with unsaid emotions. “You’re not a burden, Cris.” “But Dad will never—” “To hell with him,” I snapped. “He never cared. You don’t owe him anything. Don’t let his opinion define you.” He gave a weak smile, but then his eyes widened in panic. “Where’s Luxian? You left him… for me.” “He’s fine,” I assured him, nudging him lightly as I opened the passenger door. “Now… who’s the human?” “A guy… I think his name’s Ken. But what if he finds out about me? What if he leaves?
Damien’s POV I glanced over at Cris, who had been staring at me for hours, his coffee long forgotten. I sighed. “His werewolf side has awakened. He’s Lu… I had doubts, but he proved me wrong. He’s just like her.” The disappointment leaked from my voice like poison. Cris sipped his coffee. “He reincarnated as Lucy, so of course he inherited her gift. But… why do you sound so disappointed, man?” “I’m not,” I lied through my teeth. “If anything, it makes revenge all the more satisfying.” “You know you’ll have to bring him here, right?” “Why? I’m not babysitting him.” “You have to. Because I’m not doing your job for you.” “My job?” I snapped, my eyes glowing red. “It’s not my f**king job to protect someone who betrayed me. I don’t care if he exposes everything—let the world deal with it. Not my problem.” “Typical Damien,” Cris muttered, standing and walking toward me. “Let me remind you—we’re the same. And that makes this our problem.” I scoffed, a twisted grin curli
