After school had dismissed she went to his class but found him with his friends, gathered by the side of the class chatting and laughing. She patiently waited outside till he was done with them and then sneaked up to him.

"Hey" lily waved to him even though she was on tender hooks.

"hi" he replied.

"Are you going home?" she asked.

"yes am really tired"

"Ok can I walk you home"

"Any problem?" he asked glaring at her

"Of course not" She said putting on a smile.

"Okay no problem" he said and they walked home together.

From then they began to go home together and even got so attached to each other that other students actually thought we were dating. Lily on her own part actually felt that he might also have a "thing" for her. In a way it gave her the confidence she needed to tell him how she really felt about him.

As they walked home after school one day she blankly told him how she felt while he was all ears. Thinking that he might feel or act otherwise she felt tensed abruptly.

"I like you too" he blurted out.

She felt over the moons after she heard those four words that stuck deep into her soul. After they had parted ways to their houses, she rushed to her room happily jumping up like a kid till she felt tired. After which she made a note in her diary specially noting his words in capital. She was indeed joyful, very excited.

The following day she told Betty and Alicia her escapades and they took were excited as she was.

"As long as your happy lily with him we are too lily" they both said.

"Mm i know" she hugged them, that was how it all began for her. She went to his class as she usually does when school is over. He seemed busy so she had to wait for him which he later apologized for. Before they could part ways he drew her back saying he had something he wanted to tell her. When she got home she begun to think of what he had in mind to tell her but she couldn't figure anything out making her restless by the minute.

The next day he met her during her free period and he began to melt her heart with the sweetest words she could think of. lily was practically on cloud nine obscure to her what was to occur next. Just then she sighted a girl walk towards their direction and halted just beside jake giving him a kiss on the cheek. Her world came to a halt.

"...."

"Oh sorry, babe meet lily my friend and lily this is my girlfriend Gina." Jake said with the sweetest voice as his eyes sparkled indicating he loved her passionately.

"Oh sweetheart is she the one you always go home with leaving me all alone?" the girl pouted her lips.

"babe that's what I was just explaining to her right now"

"Tell her to give you space if not I'll cut her legs" she whispered to him while glaring at him.

"You know am all yours and I love you so much" he whispered back kissing her on the lips.

"I love you too" and they kissed again.

He freed his lips from hers and took a look at lily

"as I was saying lily your a very good person any boy would love to have but truthfully I love someone else" he said holding the girl by her hand.

Lily was completely dumb, Jake waited for a reply but when he got none he and his "babe" headed off to wherever God knows.

"....."

She sat silent in class still speechless. After school over she went home, took her bath and ate her dinner. Laying on her bed she put on her headphones. She felt her heart grow weak and cold, she was in great agony. She took off the head phones and dropped them on the desk close to where he phone laid. She gazed at her phone on the desk expecting a call from jake to explain what he just said. It was still very unbelievable.
